Kevin Love Re-Signs With The Cavs - 5 Years $110 Million

Post#1 » by Jordan45822 » Wed Jul 1, 2015 6:30 pm

I’m going back to Cleveland.

After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that’s when it really struck me. Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one. I had dreamed of playing in the NBA Finals and I just wanted to help my guys win. I couldn’t have been prouder of them as they poured their blood, sweat and tears onto the court.

Yeah, of course I’ve heard the free agency rumors. But at the end of the day, and after meeting with my teammates (it turns out pools are great meeting places) and with the front office, it was clear Cleveland was the place for me. We’re all on the same page and we’re all in. We have unfinished business and now it’s time to get back to work.

Has he even had a chance to meet with the Lakers yet?

There's absolutely no reason the Cavs shouldn't be the champs next year.

Not even dissing the Lakers, but he had no real reason to even entertain them. The Cavs are loaded, championship ready, and willing to pay him.

What exactly is the cap situation in Cleveland? How are they able to give 4 max contracts when Love and James do not have bird rights (plus they have other guys like Varejao getting 10 mil)?

Aren't they way above the tax apron?

edit: Actually, since Love was traded I'm assuming he got bird rights?

Congrats to the Cavs for a dynasty until LeBron's retirement. They'll rule the East for the next 5-7 years and win a few titles at least.

How does James get full bird rights only after one year? If you change teams via free agency you renounce your bird rights.

Is this a max? I'm totally confused on how max contracts work. Love gets 5 yrs 110, Lilliard gets 5 yrs 120, Brow gets 5 yrs 145
