Michael Beasley is a gangster

Those eyes!

But for real, 14.6 PPG in less than 18 minutes per contest on very solid efficiency. Obviously a small sample size, but he's really playing well thus far. Averaging almost 11 rebounds per 36 too, which is long overdue considering he averaged double-digit RPG as a freshman at Kansas State and had one of the best seasons in NCAA history.

I don't expect these crazy numbers to continue, but I really see him as a 20 PPG PER36 on average efficiency if he is able to run the show for the 2nd unit of the Rockets.

He is still a ball stopper and ball hog. Lots of his points coming in garbage time and I think all but one of his games he has been -10 to -28 plus/minus.

Empty stats if you've ever seen them.

If he had a tenth of the heart of Ruettiger, he'd have made All-American by now.

Beasley was great when he came to fill in for Bosh in the 2014-15 season. We were wracked with injuries and Beasley even played center against Sacramento, a game we won. According to coach Spo, he made a great effort all along. His offense wasn't up to his previous standard, but he passed the ball. In fact, his assist rate per 36 (2.3) wasn't much different than Bosh's.

That is just way too much to expect.

Well... he will play alright, until the first shiny object flashes in front of his eyes, and then he'll get distracted and lose interest in playing hard and he'll chase that shiny object. That's beasleys problem. He's got the attention span of a trout.

His jumper looks sweet as always... but he still seems to be a black hole.

Because +/- is a great stat to use in a team game.

Insane dude. he's been nothing but professional his last few years in the league. They just didn't need him in Miami.

His weakness is defense, not playing hard.

Precisely, and he actually tried hard, defensively. He just didn't fit in Miami with that team and that culture. I love the guy. A lot of Miami fans do. We wish him the best. I'm glad he's found a good fit for his skill set. Never thought he belonged anywhere but the NBA..

Garbage time part is not true at all. Only time he played in garbage time was against the Grizzlies. He also is asked to iso every possession with the bench unit because it's the only way they can create a shot with Harden on the bench. +/- is concerning though

when he scores a lot, his team usually loses. so happy he is not on the heat anymore, now we need to just get rid of this scrub gerald green.

He was the only Rocket to score in the 4th quarter vs the Hawks until he game was over and Harrell added one bucket.
The only Rocket.

Well obviously 5 man units +/- is much better, but just looking at box score production certainly ignores some important contex--not limited to, but obviously including defensive impact.

With him and Harden on the court at the same time, the defense was hilarious. Quite often literally was 5 guys guarding 4 guys, with 1 guy left completely unguarded.

Beasley out there in the last few mins of Garbage time playing like it is game 7 of the NBA finals
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

I just don't understand the hate this guy receives. It's been noted multiple times he most likely has mental health issues. He's certainly responsible for his own actions but calling guys stupid and lazy who have serious issues is not the way to go.

he's on the perfect team. No one cares about defense and freelance and jack up shots on offense.
