No lol.

I'm confused as to what he's rambling about OKC being in a bad position because they have to pay people while GSW will get discounts and has money in a big market. Its a nonsensical argument.

I think the spurs series win should keep him in OKC at least one more year, I think a competitvie series with GS would assure it. I think Durant really wants to stay in OKC but needs to see the team is at least realistically close to winning a championship.

OKC is in similar position as to what clippers are right now.
Worse because more teams have money to spend and cap is going up. Plus OKC market vs LA.

GS and SA got max player Green, Thompson Leonard LMA at much lower max than Durant and Westbrook Chris Paul and Griffin for that matter. 17 mil vs 30 mil plus

Teams will have flexibility to poison pill the, RFA talent like Waiters Adams, Robertson

Since Curry contract is one of best value in NBA GS will have 55 mil to shop for 5 players in 2017.
Max deal for Curry in 2017 could be lower than Durant who can get 38 if he does 2 yr deal PO.

He will sign a 1+1 deal to stay in OKC
Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

1. That isn't possible with the Poison pill, I showed that already.
2. You have to resign Curry.
3. 55 mil won't get 5 good players.
4. I don' teven know if that number is right.

Durant's going to take his talents to North Carolina and lead the Hornets to the Chip.

Book it.

My understanding of Poison Pill.

A team can offer Waiters/Robertson contract
5,5,20, 20 avg new team cap hit 12.5 per year.
If OKC is repeater yr 3 costs thunder 20-40 mil in tax

Adams
5,5,30,30 avg 17.5 yr 3 cost in tax 30 to 60. MIL in tax.

2. You have to resign Curry. Max contract for Curry is 33 mil with Bird Rights. But free agency cap hold is only 18 mil.

3. 55 mil won't get 5 good players. 20 mil 20 mil 5, 5, 5 which is around MLE which is set

4. I don' teven know if that number is right.

Only guys on books after 2017 Green 16.4, Thompson 17.8 plus looney 1.2 , this year's pick ? Probably this yrs tax payer mle 3 mil.
Curry cap hold I think is 18 mil.

And whoever you have to sign until then.

You'll have to find replacements for Iggy/Bogut/Barnes/Ezeli.

And people this season will be paid.

Do you really not see having all the OKC starters hitting free agency and top 3 unrestricted is a bad financial and basketball position especially for a free agent. Using a lot of cap just to maintain what you have is not ideal. See big market Clippers.

If he doesn't stay in OKC i'd be really surprised. He seems to me like a loyal guy, he said that he enjoys it in OKC, loves the city, the people, it's not like his team is bad...

2 of GSW's are in 2017 and 1 this year. Roberson won't make much at all. So a whopping 1 player difference.

Edit; And that isn't even addressing there's likely a new CBA or changes. Oh, and that its totally irrelevant to where Durant plays.

The two that GS have under control at half the price of Westbrook or KD are all stars so yes it makes a difference.

No actually the changes would happen after the damage is done from the spending of 2016 2017.

IMO TV revenue is mostly driven by the big markets eg and Nets, Lakers, Bulls, 76ers, Dallas, Houston, franchises are down or headed down the new CBA will favor the big market.

The Warriors are one of the only Big Market teams on a upswing a championship, Curry as the face of the NBA, moving to SF a new arena. Lacob and Co have gained over 1.5 Billion in team valuation over the last 5 yrs and climbing according to Forbes.

Something along letting stars get paid more and putting more coat control on rookies.

I'm greedy so I'm going propose we do a sign and trade involving MKG so we can still resign Batum

Kemba, Batum, Durant, Zeller, Frank

That's realistic right?!?
