So he's wasting his money?

Anything that helps you recover faster makes you perform better than you would without it, especially if the alternative is not performing at all. If Curry comes back at 80% instead of 70% thanks to this procedure then that's performing better. If he comes back earlier than he would naturally, he's performing better.

Personally, I don't care. Shoot some HGH in there, whatever.

Ehh, basically they are putting blood into an area where there is less blood flow. Imagine a normal healing process sped up due to increased blood flow through the injured area. That is what PRP treatment is ... They arent introducing anything unnatural into his system, nor will he come back stronger or faster than he was before. But no, he is not wasting his money. his leg was introduced to some healing properties that the natural healing process may not heal fully. This treatment can potentially help prevent something like tendinitis in the future. Veyr well worth the money for a pro athlete, but the treatment is fairly new and not all insurance companies cover it which is why normal people dont usually try this treatment.

What you are essentially saying is that if a player is sick and gets a flu shot, that it is performance enhancing because he will get better sooner than without it, which is not a good argument at all. Or saying offseason surgery is performance enhancing because a player will be able to play earlier than trying to healing without it...

The systemic effects of a treatment is what usually makes it performance enhancing.
