He's looked absolutely horrible to no ones surprise. Always has been overrated and nothing but s product of the system. Crazy becae he had a lot of hype coming into the league.

Like 99% of all preseason stats this is kind of pointless(especially considering the type of player comparison we are making).

What's worse is he's a billed shooter who can't shoot

Like MJ say, you have to play every game like it's NBA final.
KC: Do you still think your a championship caliber team?

KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

He is a horrific offensive player. I'm not shocked, and I think he will stay sub 40% for the season as far as FG% goes. He is terrible, and I was against this signing from the first moments. At least on a logical level. I guess I tried to convince myself at some point that he could work out, but other than defensive versatility and rebounding, he has very little to offer, and you don't pay 20+ mill for that.

And to think people actually thought he'd be the next Harden. :nonono:

My condolences to you Mavericks fans.

Must be great to be Barnes though. Dude had his hand held since coming into the league.

Mavericks rolled the dice that he would make a Harden/Jackson type leap by being more featured. After Harrison rookie year I was convinced based on physical tools that he would be the best player on the team, but he never improved. I really think something is mechanically is off with his shooting form or mentally at this point, his shooting has just been atrocious since the finals. I hope he gets it going somehow, clears this mental hurdle he's going through in his career.

It's just pre-season but this isn't a shock, particularly after all of the completely wide open jumpers he bricked during the finals.

And those stats were before his 1-9 night against Houston yesterday.

Posted this earlier:

Yeah, don't even start me on Matthews. There are like two NBA players who managed to come back from an achilles rupture effectively, ever.

I think he is going to have a Wes Matthews like season. Atleast shooting wise. I expect 39-42 fg made % and mid 30s 3p made % as he will be pushed in a bigger role than he should have. Poor Dirk I hope he can make the playoffs 1
