Drafting players is always more risky than getting a sure superstar talent. Danny better hope that boogie keeps throwing tantrums in new orleans as well, otherwise thats a completely blown opportunity.

who are the celtics getting rid of? Since young guys will need more and more minutes.

Not so sure they need to get rid of anybody. We'll just have to wait and see. This certainly should shut down the Bulls are getting both Brooklyn picks + Brown talk :lol:

They have nothing outside of these 3 guys though.

There are arguably 2 teams in the NBA with a better top 3, and unquestionably one with a better top 2.

Perhaps they could get super lucky, but I don't think the ceiling of this team is much higher than the 2nd round, as it currently sits.

they will sign some players. They did the toughest job right now, which is teaming up superstar with another superstar. After that the other job is easier to do, if these two click together, which is a high possibility, there will be role players interested in joining this team.

I really really hope they catch that 8th seed this should be fun series against the warriors

As a Celtics fan, you know one thing.. Danny is bringing in players that Brad Stevens wants. A lot of us wanted Cousins, because we felt Brad could make it work..and I still feel that. And given the assets, you know Danny could have made the trade work. So I think it's less about Danny blowing it, and more about Brad not being all in.

Wow I don't think I've woke up to a bigger shock in a long time. I have a feeling the Kings owner has a thing for Buddy, so many teams could have topped this in most people's opinions, that is unless you think the world of Hield. A mid 2017 first, because DMC and AD are making the playoffs, and a future first with Buddy and Evans is an awful return. Love this as a Sixers fan with the swap this year and unprotected 2019 pick. Ugh what does the Kings starting 5 look like the rest of the season? Also Cassipi is a top notch shooter at least so he can help space things out for the big guys. And they kept Jrue, it's just awful on so many levels.

Boston is going to regret not making a move here. They're good enough right now that it would be worth the risk to give up this year's BK pick for Cousins, and unless my suspicion is correct about the Kings owner loving Buddy, that should have got the job done. Cousins imo is everything Boston needs to make the jump to legit contender. And based on the return Sac just got they should have enough left to make a real push for Butler too. I get the potential value of the top pick this year, but Ainge made a huge mistake not moving here if it was an option. There's nothing that would make me believe right now that Boston couldn't have added DMC and Jimmy both if Ainge was willing to part with those picks and young assets.

The Raps didn't give up anything close to the same amount. And they don't plan to rent Ibaka.

This is true, but 98% of the people posting on that board could negotiate a better deal than Vlade Divac.
