Who is the best player to complete a AD/Cousins Big 3?

I like flirting with the idea of Chris Paul back in New Orleans. Seems like a good fit both ways.

Imagine that frontcourt with Westbrook.

Chris Paul or Kawhi Leonard. But realistically, Chris Paul.

He's not a good outside shooter tho. Chris Paul would fit better.

If I am the Pels I don't add another player on a max. I add a ton of good role players and veterans from winning cultures. If CP3 came on a non max I would consider it.

Paul doesn't seem like a good fit with AD/Cousins. Too ball-dominant of a PG, Cousins/AD are ball-dominant bigs.

The best way to make a "big 3" for the Pelicans is giving them a #3 guy who won't take up too much of the offense.

George Hill, JJ Redick, Otto Porter. A player like that who can space the floor, play some defense, and not get in Boogie/AD's way offensively.

Lol what? If you have a chance to get Chris Paul to be paired with two big men like that, you don't ditch him in favor of George Hill.

Jrue is great. They need a great defender and as far as great defensive PGs go Jrue is the best. What they really need is a wing and a bench.

If you only require 40 games played a year, then sure.

Steph Curry plus the stretch big would create great space.

Other than superstars who would obviously fit on talent alone, I would love to see a good shooter/defending SF like Ariza with them.

I tend to agree, a facilitator at point and 3&D guys on the perimeter. But ultimately, they need to look at match-ups. Today, every serious franchise should be championship or bust. So who guards Lebron/Durant? Fail to address this and you'll be forgotten in history without a title.

I think if they could add Lebron or Durant they would have a chance to make the playoffs.

Chris Paul and it's not even close. Most important, he's actually available.
Jrue is great for the role, he's CP3-lite, but if you have to max someone this summer, it's better him to be CP3. Even if he's 32 he's still a monster PG.
Number 1 priority for the Pelicans is finding a way to get rid of Asik's bad contract (it's ok to attach assets, but not first round picks), then go for the big 3.

There are a lot of players who were ball dominant in years past and when they joined together made it work. Miami is a perfect example. AD/Cousins can work but you need a fluid offensive scheme and good complimentary players to help propel Pelicans into elite status.

CP3 can leave at the end of the season, he'd be a great guy for these two if he want's to take on the challenge.

But really, they just need wing depth, spot up shooting much like the Cavs. Korver, Reddick, (could come over with CP3?) and maybe Crowder would be guys they would love for the right price.

Now that the salary cap and luxury tax might come into play, who really knows, they'll basically need a pair or trio of cheep wings who can shoot.
