embiid just because of the injuries. flashes of andrew bynum in that regard, except embiid is so much better skill-wise which makes it even worse.
screw these absolute garbage refs

All I expect out of Reggie Jackson is that he should always be the sweatiest guy on the floor at all times. In that sense, he's no disappointment.

Dude looks like someone dumped a bucket of water over him after 2 mins of playing.

For me its Dunn and Ingram. I know Ingram is a project, but I didn't expect these insane horrid numbers.

KP wasn't a disappointing player in any way, but I have been pretty disappointed after his VERY hot start fizzled out after a few injuries. Hopefully he can come back next year (with a new sidekick) and pick up where he left off before Christmas.

I agree- in the sense that he played so well for those 30 games, his injury made it that much more disappointing.

Huge fan and taking away fir a second whether he plays the right way or how conducive his style of game is to winning in the playoffs Ive always felt he could just tinge it all out, go full Meloball and carry his team's kicking and screaming into the playoffs....so long as he has remotely decent talent. Well this is the first year it really dawned on me that he just isn't the sane player anymore.
Doesn't mean the critics are correct that he belongs on a bench as opposed to simply being demoted to a sidekick or 3rd option to better players but it just sucks for me. That's all. Wasted prime

I remember watching Melo in his prime... I went to all the (my) home games of the playoff series between the Jazz/Nuggets (can't remember year). The Jazz were severe under-dogs due to 3 of their starters being injured. Melo choked, and fell apart through the entire series, and a D-Will led Jazz out-hustled the more talented Carmelo led Nuggets. He complained to the refs every chance he got, and his body language was as if he was a spoiled kid that just didn't want to play if he couldn't have it his way. I lost some respect for him as a player after watching that series. He later demanded a trade from Denver to NYK... Fast forward years later and he's the least winning player in history of playoffs basketball.

He's an amazing talent who lacks leadership, character, and the ability to inspire others around him to be better.

Ingram isn't a project. He's actually looked really good since the ASB and has improved every month this season. He's still younger than half the lottery picks coming out this year.

If I could vote Vogel I would :D, but considering he wasn't playing out of position and what chances he's gotten compared to the others + his contract, Fournier is the no brainer for me.

Not exactly disappointing. But i don't like it.
Giannis focus in getting his own shot this season, dropped his assisting numbers compared with the post ASG numbers he had in the previous season.
I get that he was about to take more shots especially when middleton was ruled out, but it still seems like that guy who could get 10 dimes for fun, is a distant memory.

King- wrote:I remember reading draft/post draft/summer league threads on here about Kris Dunn and I swear he was being talked about like he was going to be an instant superstar this year

IIRC the draft board had a pretty good (and ultimately accurate) consensus on him: great physical tools but will probably struggle to be effective on offense. He's been worse than most expected but not many informed folks thought he would come in and kill.

NBAFan93 wrote:I'd say derrick Rose in NYK and Dwayne Wade in CHI have been pretty disappointing. They've both had some good games/moments, but I expected a lot more for those teams because those guys joined them - and both have ended up drama ridden in addition to having a record below expectations..

If you were expecting anything from Rose this year that's on you. He's actually been better across the board in NYC, he's just not a good or useful player anymore and hasn't been in years. And Wade has been himself, he's just old and the Bulls' supporting cast has been a failure two years straight. Mirotic, Portis, and Valentine have all been much bigger 'disappointments' since everyone expected positive contributions rather than barely playable basketball.

Well that is what happens when you add the second best player in the NBA to an already stacked roster. People numbers tend to go down.

Volume wise, yeah. But I was hoping Curry could have kept up (or even improved) his unworldly efficiency

I think its entirely something different than just adding durant. Looks like curry's arms got bigger and its definitely affecting his shot. The ball doesn't even go in the same, as it did in his MVP year a season ago, when he makes it in. He can't pull off the same dribble moves either, it just looks slower. My theory is that he didn't want to get bullied anymore and bulked up which is why you see him attack the basket more. He's having the same effect Kobe had during the start of the 2006-2007 season when he added weight and his shot was noticeably different. His shot was too strong and you can tell by the way it bounces off the rim when he misses and by the ding when he made it. (The ding is something I refer to describe how the ball goes in when you shoot it line drive.. like a tmac shot). Kobe eventually slimmed down in that same season and his shot returned to normal. I think Curry needs to do the same. He needs that slippery evasiveness and right amount of power to pull off that feathery flick. Too much power in his shot atm.

For me, Bogut. I was hoping he would come back from injury and bring some GS mojo to Dallas with Barnes chemistry. Sadly, he not only scuffled, he created bad karma drama in his 30 sec appearance with Cleveland.

Most dissapointing for me. Appretiated how he helped turn around the warriors with Curry, Lee, Klay. Dude went from, key guy on all time best team, lost because we cant afford him with KD, to sign and waived 15th man, to done for season.

That awkward moment when people took the joke about Westbrook seriously.

Not really dissapointed but I expected more from Steven Adams on offense with KD and Ibaka gone. Terry Rozier played good to end last season and had a encouraging summer league/pre season yet has looked remarkeable inconsistant. Evan Turner was overpaid yet I still thought he'd have more of an impact in Portland. Mundaiy has been a pretty big dissapointment also.
