Take out the "second" and I'll agree.

Much respect for the Grizzlies, such a likeable team, a guy like Gallo or W Chandler instead of Parsons and they would have been a problem.

Given how close it was healthy Tony Allen might have done it

Really sucks that the Grizzlies have to deal with that deadbeat Parsons and Tony Allen's injury. They're pretty close to being contenders if they can developer their younger players.

you can't just say that though, does Conley get as much space to do his thing with Tony Allen?

Props to VC and the Grizzlies for putting up such a good fight. He's still playing at a high level at 40. They might be older, but they weren't outmatched. If only they had a healthy Tony Allen to challenge Kawhi.

As a Spurs fan, and with the benefit of hindsight, I would have much preferred Tony Allen being out there and taking up minutes from Green.

I think Allen being out made them super dangerous on O tbh. Their O just flowed beautifully from multiple threats all over the crt.

James Ennis had two open corner threes at the end of the game that he didin't take. That killed Memphis, very good team but lacking a couple of wing players

Westbrook's team look's like contender, if we compare with Gasol/Conley's teammates: Allen/Parson out, Carter/Randolph are 40/35 y/old and others look like from d-league.

Wow fantastic Parker tonight ! We don't close this series without his contribution. Great series all around.

Sad to see Memphis eliminated. Love watching that team.

The way they bounced back after the first game-and-a-half of the series is admirable. Losing a starter - who also happens to be your glue guy and best defender - right before a series against a team like the Spurs is basically a death knell. But they dug in and competed well. They've still got another run in them. And the fact that Fizdale ultimately realized that, damn pace, you need Zbo in that starting lineup come playoff time, is promising.

A 2014 Chandler Parsons is the type of player the team needed, but it's not what they got. They need to go find one.

Nah dudes been a stud on defense this year tbh

Yep. Another person who doesn't know what they're talking about. Aldridge has always been an underrated and above-average defensive player. Positionally, agility, length, steals, blocks. Solid and at times very good.
