They have the potential to be. As individuals they are one of the greatest duos of all time.

- Pick a hated but very good player (or two).
- Will he be the best ever player (or duo)?
- Followed by and+1 fishing posts

I brought up this topic earlier. Was asking if we got a definitive answer. Probably still debatable but for now it is still the Splash Brothers.

Lol it’s Steph and Klay and it’s not debatable. Silly thread.

Yeah, especially since they didn't out play Harden and Paul in the series, even though Durant carried most of the Warriors scoring load and was their best player. Paul and Harden almost spearheaded the defeat of Steph, Klay, an MVP, and a all-star big, but of course "it's not debatable". Silly comment.

“Almost” this, “if” that. Shoulda could woulda brigade out in full force  Paul got hurt for the 17th time in his career when his team needed him, while Curry and Klay hit big 3 after big 3 (like they’ve been doing for YEARS lol). Silly thread, silly post:

Klay and Steph didnt beat Harden and Paul. The Rockets loss to the Warriors, who were lead by Durant. You've added nothing of substance to back up your claim. You cant even say that they outplayed the Rockets froncourt.

Thompson just had a 9 PER for a playoff run. You people are kidding yourselves if you think Harden/Paul will be inferior to any of Steph/Klay's last 3 full seasons, at even 80% of their potential(I don't even think they'll struggle like that).

Some of things you read about this fitting. Just bizarro world stuff.

I think in a year, the idea of doubting the offensive potency to a prime CP3, prime Harden, and D'antoni with good shooters and rim finishing big men will just be comical. But it's happening en masse.

So yeah. Clearly better and it's not even close.

Paul is far closer to Curry than Thompson is to Paul, easily. Harden was better than Curry all season.
Swinging for the fences.

I think to be the best they'd need more years together and to win at least one ring.

In order to be the best you have to beat the best, I dont see that happening. Chris Paul cannot stay healthy and Harden has consistently failed to step up and close out crucial games.

They are definitely better than Curry and Thompson.

Aside from them clearly being more talented and dynamic they had a 44-5 record in the regular season together and 11-4 in the playoffs. 55-9 combined.

They won 5/7 matchups against Curry and Thompson this season and that's WITHOUT having Kevin Durant on their team.

But if we're talking about championships then Parker and Ginobili are the best ever.

I can't ignore that one team has 2x FMVP Kevin Durant and the other has Eric Gordon
