Sure, let's ignore the circumstances on the Cavs end and the shell of a player that Derrick Rose was at the time. The 2015 Bulls are not remotely close to the 2011 Bulls but if you want to believe thatthan go ahead.

Did I say that?

You guys were all making fun of a poster who said: "DRose and Bulls were our main competition out East in 2015" and he was right. No other team in the East won a playoff game against the Cavs and the Bulls were very close to being up 3-1.

The Bulls nearly went up 3-1 on the Cavs. LeBron made a buzzer-beater at the end of a game that would have went to OT.

2M is decent value. MVP Rose is never coming back though. Or all-star Rose.

I don't know what argument you are trying to make but showing a Derrick Rose game winner against a short handed Cavs team doesn't prove they had a competitive shot at upsetting Cleveland.

Now put aside the advanced metrics for a second and ask yourself if this guy isn't the biggest value deal of the entire off-season.

:nonono: I can make the same argument that if they had Love, they would have swept that series or gone 5 at the most. I can play the coulda shoulda game too.

Baffles me that just over two years ago (3 seasons ago) DRose and Bulls were our main competition out East for a title, and now Rose is a Cav.

Then you, and a bunch of other posters made fun of him and called him a bandwagon fan. In the 2015 playoffs, the Cavs went 4-0 against the Celtics, 4-2 against the Bulls, and 4-0 against the Hawks. In 2015, the Bulls were the Cavs main competition in the East, and OsuCavsfan103 stating that doesn't make him a bandwagon fan and doesn't mean that he should be ridiculed. As a Cavs fan who watched the games, he probably remembers how close the Bulls were to being up 3-1 in the series, and how that series was by far the most competitive series the Cavs had in the East that year.

And yet, without Love, the Cavs swept the Hawks. Where in the East did the Cavs face stronger competition than the Bulls? All OsuCavsfan103 said was the Bulls were the main competition the Cavs had in the East that year, which is a true statement and in no way makes him a bandwagon fan.

This is the most underrated signing this off season. For 2m a year Rose is a steal. Might be in the minority but I still think rose is a very good player.

So what? It doesn't take away the fact that the Bulls took advantage of a short handed Cavs team. That team doesn't compare to a team with a peak Derrick Rose as the MVP.

Yeah, I never said otherwise, and yet for some reason you keep on acting like that's my argument. Here's how this conversation has gone:

OsuCavsfan103: Bulls were the Cavs main competition in the East in 2015.

Realgm posters: LOL! Bulls never competed against the Cavs in 2015! OSU, you just proved yourself to be a bangwagoner!

me: In 2015 the Bulls were the only team to win playoff games against the Cavs.

you: What??? You're crazy if you think the 2015 Bulls were better than the 2011 Bulls.

Pau Gasol was also out after I think the 3rd game of the series?

Rose was literally a month removed from just having his meniscus repaired. If that blind ref gives Blatt the timeout he called for and follows that up with the deserved tech, Bulls go back to Cleveland up 3-1. They were very much the Cavs toughest competition that year in the East and everybody knew it.

This is not what I am saying either. The 2011 version of the Bulls were the last competive threat to Lebron, not the 2015 team. Is this clear enough for you?

The bulls were absolutely the Cavs biggest competition in the East that year. The cavs were more shorthanded against the Hawks than the Bulls, Kyrie barely played that series, and they had a much easier time against the Hawks. Bulls were also up 2-1 before Pau got hurt and the Cavs won three straight...

Rose is getting disrespected with this contract. Aaron Afflalo just got the same deal. No offense to Afflalo, but rose is a former MVP and averaged 18pts per game last year. He's far better in that role that Jamaal Crawford for Clev, and could potentially be their starting PG now. I hate to see him settle for such a low contract after what was a very silent, yet productive, come back season. Fantastic pick up for Clev, but if I'm Rose I'm already jaded over my contract.

That's like saying Boston was the Cavs main competition in the East this year, or Toronto was their main competition last year. I mean, sure, they're the teams that got humiliated the least in the post-season that year, but that's not really "competition".
