The NBA is so soft. Players are so sensitive nowadays.

Eh, slight overreaction from Lillard.

They're really no more sensitive than players of any other era. It's just a totally different media era.

Yeah so sensitive. I didn't see any tweets from Jordan at all.

As long as he didn't hurl any personal attacks (he didn't), I see no problem with Lillard taking umbrage with being compared to anyone based on a proclivity of losing, especially since the Blazers have only had one losing season since he's been drafted. A lot of that success had to do with Aldridge, back when he actually played well, but the point still stands.

Nowadays? They just didn't have the forums to express their sensitivities at other times. Players are people, and since there's always going to be sensitive people, there will be sensitive players. The players generation might be more sensitive than previous ones, but of course it's the previous generation that raised all those sensitive children, soo...

Because Lillard knows that deep down Irving is way better than him. When Irving was playing without LeBron during his first seasons, Lillard was still in college.

I think most people would take offense when others randomly try and use you as a negative example .

Is Lillard asking Kyrie to drop 55 on him again?

I don't have a problem with Lillard saying this. It's funny how fans complain about players being robots and always giving company line answers and when they actually speak their mind, it's a problem.

And Lillard has a point...he's done a better job leading his own team even without LMA than Kyrie has in limited games without 'Bron.

I'd be pissed if someone comp'd me to an inferior player in such a nonchalant way.

You put Lillard on the Cavs instead of Irving, and they would not miss a beat. He's a better off ball player than Kyrie.

I love Dames personality but Kyrie was basically a HS player drafted to the worst team in the league while Dame was close to Kyries age rn when he came out.....lol

MJ used his hall of fame speech to call out everyone that ever doubted him over his career. He literally invited the guy that made the high school varsity team over him more than 30 years prior. He didn't speak to Sam Smith for like a year after the Jordan Rules came out. There's a long history of star basketball players being sensitive, it's part of what drives them.
