When teams try hard it tends to be low scoring(i.e. bad percentages) generally(see 2010 NBA Finals Game 7, 2016 NBA Finals Game 7) for all parties involved. This is usually the time where people say people are "choking".

This is for all intents and purposes a playoff game within the regular season..
