Kevin McHale - ustoppabble scorer
This is not my video, but I appreciate effort to make such a long video about Kevin McHale. Quality is poor, but basketball skills are excellent here.
Possibly the most unstoppable post scorer ever. I'd like to see him in modern era

He's a great scorer, certainly, but what I remember most of the guy was his defense. E.g., he shut down Dominique Wilkins on defense 1986 ECSF vs Atlanta (5 games) while averaging 24.5 PPG | 8 RPG | 3 APG | 1.2 BPG | 55 FG%. He also used to guard James Worthy--and do quite well. Indeed, the only time Worthy really did well against McHale was in the 1987 finals...when McHale was guarding him for the whole series on a broken foot.

I can't think of any current player who would attempt to play--let alone guard the fleetest member of the opposition--in this condition. The dude was...tough.

Yeah, he was really tough man. He also guarded Adrian Dantley before finals in the same season. That's two of the toughest players to guard one on one ever and they aren't even his nominal position. He was really great defender, underappreciated nowadays.

The think about McHale is that you wouldn't have predicted he'd be that good of a pro. He was a good collegian, but he didn't dominate in college at Minnesota.
In fact, I saw McHale in high school in the Minnesota state tournament where his team, Hibbing, got beat in the finals. McHale got outplayed by a shorter player from Bloomington Jefferson named Steve Lingenfelder who had a hook shot McHale couldn't stop.
So yeah, while I thought he had good potential as a pro, I never thought he'd reach the heights he attained.
