Hall of Fame Probability 2018

Post#1 » by 8on » Sun Jun 10, 2018 8:22 pm

Some head scratchers:
-Carmelo far ahead of Klay, Draymond, Manu, Tony and AD
-Wall ahead of Draymond?
-LaMarcus ahead of Klay and Manu?
-Love ahead of AD?

Thoughts?

Remember it’s not just nba achievements.

For that matter, Carmelo is a lock with what he has done on the international stage.

But yes Parker and Manu are the two next to make it from the current players.

Carmelo prime was one of the best scorers of all time. Looks like to me he gained too much weight in last couple of seasons. He will be HOF for sure, and AD for me (if something doesn't change dramaticly). Rest are debatable.

Melo’s 22nd all-time in points, 67th all-time in win shares. Had MVP votes in 6 different seasons. He’ll be in the HOF for sure.

Of those in the poll, I voted all but Wall and Kyrie. But I don't think bbref's formula includes international achievements. That might explain Manu behind LaMarcus.

The only head scratcher I see is Wall over Draymond.

But the HoF is a sham anyway.

I voted AD, Kyrie, Harden, Melo... Some of the others are borderline. Please no Draymond - ugh...

Not sure how anyone could have Melo headed to the HOF

Melo is a lock. His resume isn't too far off from Dominique Wilkins, who is clearly a deserving HOF member.

Manu's probability being as low as it is doesn't surprise me, he doesn't have a lot of NBA accolades because of his limited minutes. He's a special case though and will make the HOF.

Also don't forget Melo with Syracuse. NBA alone would probably suffice, but combined with his achievements on college and international level, no way he doesn't make it in.

Even his strongest haters know he’s a lock. His Olympic accomplishments, NCAA championship and scoring stats make him a perfect candidate.

Without looking too far into it Manu might be my first choice out of that group considering his international success. I give more credence to his Olympic gold medal than all of Carmelo’s combined.

If we’re being honest about HOF standards everyone in that poll over than Iguodala probably makes it.
