Brunson is better than Kyrie even if you ignore the off court stuff. Good job Knicks. Lol at the Mavs...gutted their team for a worse player when they could have just kept Brunson

Brunson is such an awesome player and such a smooth fit for a thibs squad, I've never been jealous of the knicks before but hey times change.

I get it. His Brooklyn stint was a disaster, but if you get past how naive & susceptible to conspiracy theories Kyrie is, he has amazing footwork & touch in the paint for a guard too, and he's more athletic than Jalen...though not as strong. The biggest difference between them is between the years and there was no way to know that that would be the case at the time.

Jalen's craftiness was on display as soon as he broke into the mavs lineup, but you can't really bank on a player just continuing to improve year after year the way Jalen has and I think RJ will. Guys usually plateau / stagnate before becoming this good without having really special tools.

Brunson's been killing it since Julius went down...though his efficiency has dipped significantly...but before Randle went down they were 1a/1b. Brunson's USG rate last season was 27.2%, Randle's was 29.5%. Before Randle got hurt both were around 28-29% this season. And Jalen didn't exactly struggle as Luka's Robin.

I think Jalen has just become better than Kyrie at this point, regardless of role.
