•Stopped running offense in the second half when it got close like he always does when he gets scared.

•Went away from AD who was dominating. Run some plays for him especially P+R.

•Took way too long to put DLo in when they desperately needed offense.

•Refused to challenge a very soft foul call on LeBron with very little time left. Easily could have been overturned. He just sat there.

•Refused to call timeout to draw up a play for the Lakers last shot.

The Lakers have a good roster??

Before the trade deadline the Lakers had the worst (non-tank) 3-15 roster in the league. They now have a credible amount of NBA depth but nothing special even after adding several rotation guys. I don't know why people keep thinking the Lakers have a ton of talent. Last season was even worse, they were spectacularly crap after LeBron and AD.

in years with a dynastic team like gsw/sas/kobe shaq lakers, this laker team would be less than mediocre at best..........but this is no such year. this is a parity year and all the teams have issues, even boston and milwaukee with only denver being rock solid.

and in this parity year the lakers have TWO 1ST BALLOT HOFers. no other team can claim this. the lakers are 6th in 3fg%, 8th in ppg. so they are a GOOD roster in parity, anchored by 2 first ballot hof'ers. you want to say they have a cr@ppy defense,,,every team has a cr@ppy something

This is what I say whenever I hear the "He never had Phil Jackson!" excuse. If LeBron had been on the Bulls back then, Jackson would have been fired by February 1990. He doesn't WANT a coach like that, he wants a sniveling puppet.
