Best thing I like about Wemby is that he seems to have that competitive gene. He seems to turn up in the clutch. Now he won't always be successful but I can't ever see him shying away from taking that last shot if necessary.

Also, Wemby can impact the game on both offence and defense and there are not many players in the NBA who can do that.

Clippers are beating the spurs 77-47 so it’s not any better

but the clips are a better team anyway.
what i meant was watching wemby is not better than watching den/okc

so far i believe i'm correct. wemby is only fun if he blocks shots. he's boring 25' outside on offense. when teams start playing to strip him of the ball he'll be a liability. i think he can be tied up if someone puts a body on him

i don't think his path as a force on offense lies in playing 25' away....unless people get excited when he hits a 3 or dribbles behind his back, to which,,,,,,,BIG DEAL

Not a great game from Wemby. Looks pretty meh at the moment, but that'll happen. Rook, everyone has bad nights, etc.

He's got a long way to go.

Rookie Ralph Sampson >, although Sampson was a few years older.
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** Luka made the playoffs without Brunson
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

Hmm so far he's had 1 mediocre game, then followed up with a good game, and then a stinker. Can't really draw any conclusions yet.

Wemby is severely handicapped by how bad the Spurs team is. It’s essentially the same squad that went 22-60 last season. The team overall still looks that bad. They haven’t a clue how to make good use of the big guy.

Stinker? Rookie having 11 points, 5 reb vs an experienced contender level team with 2 All NBA first team level players when his PG is Sochan? Thunders with SGA first team all nba superstar level player lost to Nuggets by 30. This is so expected because this version of Spurs is good enough to beat Rockets level. Wemby is 19, playing in 22 win team.....

Clippers made a real point of sending doubles and have 5 guys crash the boards making it impossible for Wemby to get rhythm. Solid plan from T.Lue.

The Spurs guards are just terrible at running the offense. So many instances where they continue to look off Wemby just so they can selfishly try to score and brick. Sochan has no business being a PG

Sochan is PF. He is just very bad on offense, he is so raw. Sochan will go to the bench probably soon.
