Crazy thing is...is that I 100% believe him. They already got the 1st seed locked up. Might as well use the rest of the year to gear up for the play offs.

Btw, from the eye test only Kevin Durant has regressed quite some. I haven't watched many Suns games this year, but when I have indeed watched them he's kinda bad in rotations, has played predictable offense with bad turnovers... Of course he's still gonna score a bunch because we're talking about one of the absolute very best scorers ever but... I feel he might be forcing it sometimes.

Granted, he's 35 and the Suns are probably poorly constructed but I have just visibly noticed a decline. More educated takes?

I mean it took a while but we have been showing incremental improvements that, over time, accrue to a more solid floor and better results.

Jamal Murray played through small injuries and got worse injuries. Chet Holmgren/Shai also currently also forcing himself to play meaningless games. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Same goes for Luka who is going hard for MVP, but this is going to cost him in the postseason with his weight and now some added injuries. I wonder about Jokic having to carry a bigger load for a while now, I saw him being questionable for a couple of games now... small injuries thats where it begins.

The more small injuries you have = less athletic capacity, less freedom in your movement and ofc now you get bigger injuries due to worsening these areas or compensation in other areas having to take extra load blabla. It`s so stupid to me that these players get so much agency in deciding how much they will play, when they just cant think and dont know their limits/how the body works. There is a reason Wemby is peaking later in the season now, while Holmgren is falling off a cliff. Pop took charge, he knows the ego and the stubbornness of players wanting to play and have fun, at the cost of their body. Great management from Pop and now Wemby is finishing strong, and its a shame because Holmgren is just being an idiot thinking its "tough" to force himself to play through injuries worsening his own capacity and development in every way. OKC will not be a contender until they have someone with authority and competence stopping the players from playing through injuries, so stupid.
