The Nuggets might fall to the 3rd seed. His MVP could be in serious jeopardy if that happens

He's been incredible all season and hasn't missed a significant number of games. I do think SGA is right behind him and if OKC had been able to create a little more separation in the standings that SGA would have gotten it.
If both the Nuggets and the Thunder falter down the stretch then Luka has a shot but that feels like a very long shot. The year Dallas can figure out a team around Luka that can stay in the top 3 is the year he wins MVP.
Well, MVP is not about the most wins, it's about being the most valuable player to their team.
And going by what you're saying, you're actually enforcing Luka's MVP case

Agree to disagree. The most valuable player has put his team in the best position to make a postseason run to win a championship. Luka is more valuable on a contender than he is on a fringe playoff team. In both cases he is equally as important but the value of being a top seeded contender is much higher than being a likely 1st round exit.
Luka was also incredible last year and they missed the playoffs entirely. I could have played in Luka's place and the team would have had just as much playoff success that year. So no I don't think emphasizing team success along with individual accomplishment is making Luka's MVP case this year.

Mavs are 10-11 in their last 11 and the only loss (OKC) was with Luka out.
He's making a real push now. Not sure he can win it, but he's surging while SGA is hurting and Jokic is losing (and hurting).

If it wasn't for him Dallas would have been outside the play in! That's the definition of MVP. He put Dallas in the right position. And heck this is not even the best Jokic season. And you all making justification to not give Luka his due!
