Forbes has Minnesota up to $2.5 billion, so within the last year, the team's valuation went up $1 billion. That's pretty significant.

“I will continue to work with Marc, Alex and the rest of the ownership group to ensure our teams have the necessary resources to compete at the highest levels on and off the court,” said Taylor. “The Timberwolves and Lynx are no longer for sale.”

Do they not technically still have 3 days to get the money? I get that's probably impossible, but it's not the 31st yet.

Based on the press release, the deadline was yesterday, not the 31st.

Really hoping this isn't true, as Taylor is the worst owner in sports in my opinion, but if it is, Lore & ARod should have listed to KG...

So Glen gets a major capital injection and maintains ownership? Damn, impressive bit of scamming there. I don’t get why the BOG approved a sale to owners that obviously couldn’t afford the team to begin with

Yeah, if they were struggling to secure a loan it means they have very shaky financial foundation (for an NBA owner, I wish I had 1/100th of their financial foundation), this should be good news for the fans.

Next step is sell Gobert/Towns and get us under the cap so he can REALLY make money not paying the tax and holding Edwards to his 5 years

Woj is doing some heavy PR on behalf of Taylor this morning lol. should get a favorable article soon I bet, then you'll see all the wolves breaking news coming from him over the next year

I'm sure Taylor is another ultra rich scumbag but I can't blame him. Seems like a case of dudes spending money that they didn't have to begin with. Bummer that this cloud exists over a team that is bringing a lot of hype to its fans for a change. I'm sure that the real fighting between these guys is just beginning.

Unfortunately this is way too real. I was never that thrilled with the ARod/Lorre group as I don't trust ARod or anyone who seems close to him as far as I could throw them, but I did believe in the short term they would be willing to inject capital and give this team what it needs. Now I know for a fact Taylor ain't gonna do anything but continue to hamstring this team.

Also, if I'm Tim Connelly, I'm livid as I never agreed to work long term for someone like Glen.

That’s pretty embarrassing. How can you not have the financing lined up? I wonder if this is an Elon musk situation with twitter and they wanted to pull out…I have so many questions.

ARod is a fraud

The devil you know Twolves fans

An ownership group too poor to buy your team would be a downgrade. This is a good thing

You can't downgrade from the worst winning percentage in American sports. Not just basketbal, all sports.

Glen Taylor would have never done the Gobert deal alone.

Taylor will wait until Edwards forces his way to the Lakers and then sell and pick up an extra billion or 2.
