If anyone wants some free target practice, I give you permission to shoot me in the head.

Glen Taylor is 95% responsible for why the Wolves are a joke. This news is worst case imaginable. I seriously pretty much lost all faith in this teams long term future

The thing about KG, is he is loyal to this state and the fans. He won't ever sour on this state or the fans.

Not in his DNA

Even though Taylor has drug his name through the dirt and made him persona non-grata, KG still simps for the Wolves as a whole and loves MN

His loyalty is truly one of a kind

Why? You think the team is now at risk at moving states?

Rodriguez and Lore tried to buy an NBA team using debt financing. The problem is, that's not really how NBA teams sell anymore. You need to have a lot of liquid capital. Interest rates are still way too high to pull off such a complicated deal.

I held my tongue and just posted the original link, but I was monitoring this for a long time. I can't blame Taylor for two guys not having their **** together. NBA looks kind of dumb here as well.

Glen Taylor's tenure in MN:
1) Worst record in the 4 major professional sports
2) Illegally signed Joe Smith, costing the franchise 5 first round draft picks
3) Publicly threw shots at KG & Kevin Love immediately after trading them
4) Has sold 9 draft picks, never purchasing 1.
5) Never reached out to longtime Timberwolf and interim coach Sam Mitchell to let him know they were moving on from him.
6) Everything that continues to go on with Kevin Garnett, the man who just about singlehandedly doubled the value of the franchise, holds all the Franchise records, yet does not have his jersey retired in the rafters.

Sure he's kept the team in MN, but all this has done is caused emotional distress for all us fans over the years with little reward. With Taylor running the team, we would have been better off moving to Seattle or somewhere else years ago!!!

Arod and lore hit back that it’s just Taylor having sellers remorse

Funny that Arod and lores response has been out for over half an hour and nothing from Woj who was heavily explaining/defending Taylors perspective.

You can't miss payment deadlines and then say you fulfilled your obligations. Even if you miss by a day there will be penalties. I don't even like Glen Taylor, but these dudes clearly aren't fit to own a team. They're not wealthy enough.

Notice this didn't happen with the Suns nor the Hornets nor the Mavericks.

"I just think I built this team."

What exactly did Taylor build with the current team?

You could argue he helped build terrible teams, allowing them to draft KAT & Ant 1st overall due to having the worst record in the NBA, sure.
I guess he hired Gerson Rosas who was later fired for workplace misconduct, but drafted/signed Jaden, Naz, and Finch (in addition to Ant) during this time here
Gobert, Conley, NAW, all trades from Tim Connelly who was hired by Lore/Arod

It was Lore/Arod who granted permission to spend into the luxury tax, allowing us to sign McDaniels to an extension.

Wait - so Lore / Arod have the funds and Taylor is reneging because the team is good? IS that even legal? Or do I have this wrong?

And the team is good now because of the GM, Tim Connelly, the prospective new owners had hand picked themselves (along with other business execs).

There’s no way the league should ever allow a sale like this again, it should be a done deal when the paperwork is signed. This is just an embarrassment to the league that you have owners acting like kids fighting over a toy

Next step is sell Gobert/Towns and get us under the cap so he can REALLY make money not paying the tax and holding Edwards to his 5 years

Lowkey worst owner in the NBA

Glen Taylor has always been willing to pay the Luxury-Tax, despite Minnesota been a losing franchise.

This isn’t accurate, Glen Taylor signed off on the Jimmy Butler deal and has been a notably hands-off owner (arguably to the detriment of Minnesota).
