The real question should be is Bob Cousy at 95 better on defense than Tyus Jones right now? Because Tyus may be the worst defensive guard in the NBA and he's on a team with Jordan Poole.

That's not the point of that argument. It's about value in context.

Almost everything Isaac Newton came up with ended up being at least partially wrong. Yet he's still considered the greatest physicist ever by most physicists because his contribution was so groundbreaking and impactful in the long-term.

When you do historical evaluations, you have to put things into context. It's History 101. Avoid anachronism.

Its like comparing Ferrari 365 Daytona with Ferrari FF. We all know FF is a better car in todays world, but Daytona is something special and will always be rememberd as one of the greatest cars ever made.

it's Tyus Jones, he is very underrated look at the Assist to TOV ratio. The efficiency is better.

Did ppl forget what Jones was doing for a Memphis not too long ago?

When I see these posts put up for the sole purpose of disrespecting players of a different era, I think of Nikola Jokic. If he played exactly the way he does now, only did it in the 50's, he'd be laughed at. You'd be seeing it in black and white and the same people who make these posts would disrespect him.
What is the purpose of this type of post? Can the OPS eliminate them?
