No it's not just on twitter or reddit. You're a retired mod. Surely you know Mods on some boards don't allow trolling and clean up their posts and delete them... But you didn't see it so I'm just making **** up. Real galaxy brain stuff here.
I know that mods don't allow trolling and delete their posts. So, I did look into it a bit further and I did indeed find that troll you were talking about. It was in the game thread of the last game, not in the post-game threads that I read. These are the posts I found, all posted by the same poster:
"Pacers should've ended this 20 minutes ago wtf Pacers"
"Neismith is a DAWG"
"MYLES FKIN TURNER!!"
It's those 3 and one post that was deleted by a mod and replaced by the word "Troll".
Now, it definitely was a troll precisely because those posts were posted in the game thread of the Bucks RealGM forum. If these posts were posted on the GB, it wouldn't be a troll. But it was posted over in your forum which means that your mods were right to delete the posts. Posting in the opposing teams forum during the game (or after it) and celebrating a win is definitely trollish behavior and no Pacer fan on the Pacers RealGM forum or on the GB condones this sort of behavior. But, you see, the poster who trolled you couldn't possibly know that because he has never posted on the Pacers forum here, on RealGM. Despite being a Pacers fan, he has only posted on the Bucks forum, Raptors forum and the GB.
So, yeah, this is what you're using to judge us all, I guess. A Pacers fan who we have pretty much never interacted with. That's cool
I don't care enough about this to keep going back and forth with you. I said there were trolls to which you dismissed and patronized me about, I gave you proof, and now it's just "That one guy" I'm judging you with, when I already told you there were other threads, other posters and other websites doing the same ****. Your fanbase is rightfully happy, but the self-awareness is non-existent.
I doubted your claim for three reasons:
1) I literally know almost every Pacer fan on RealGM. We're not some huge fanbase like the Raptors or the Knicks. There's only 10-15 of us in here and I was a mod on the Pacers forum so, yeah, not hard to know everyone. And I do know that every single Pacer fan on the Pacers forum knows better than going to an opposing team's forum and posting anything that could potentially get a rise out of people. So, yeah, your claim sounded far-fetched to me from the get go.
2) I have read the post-game threads on the Bucks forum and I didn't see a single Pacers fan posting there.
3) While reading the post-game threads, I saw your hostility towards our fanbase. And when you posted in this thread, this hostility clearly carried over.
So, yeah, that just reinforced my doubts. I'd say that most people wouldn't take an accusation at face-value when it comes from someone who is clearly hostile to them.
At the end of the day, a poster purporting to be a Pacers fan did indeed troll you. You are correct, it did indeed happen. But you can see why I'd doubt it initially and the fact that this poster in question has never posted in the Pacers board in their life isn't really a coincidence either.
But you are still using that poster's trolling to attack the Pacers RealGM community even though that poster was never a part of said community.
