How do you score 35 in one half and 0 in the other. Odd player.

But, but, Pacers owned the Bucks in the REGULAR SEASON though. Enough to make an assumption that they're a better playoff team.

Really? They were extremely lucky to win a game they were up 27 at halftime, up 22 in the 4th, and ended up winning by 15?

They got lucky to win that one is what you took away?

Refs let the Pacers get more physical, thats one reason. *But okay, lol.

Like Bobby said. This ain't golf bro. 5 players make the destiny, not one.

NBA.com ran that headline for casuals too, Dame's 35 point half ... essentially carried Bucks... No, Bev hustling for 36minutes, Bobby being solid, Brook, Pat, Beas...*Silky smooth Middleton staves off Pacers in 2nd half.

Bucks have the best paint scorer in the league (Giannis), the best midrange scorer in the league (Khris) and the best free throw shooter in the league (Dame, tied with Steph and Klay). There's no way they're a first round exit

Poor showing from the Pacers. My gut feeling before the series was that the Pacers might have what it takes to upset Giannis-less Bucks, but yeah, game 1 was trash by the Pacers. Let's see how they come back from this.

I'm ready to overreact and go from Pacers are winning this to this might be Bucks in four or five.

Some wild Giannis slander in this thread, "are Bucks better without Giannis?" lmao

Been waiting to see how Dame looked in the playoffs after a regular season where it seemed like we really coasted at times. He came out more aggressive than he ever has in a Bucks uniform, you love to see it.

Not saying the Bucks are capable of coasting all year and then just turning it on in the playoffs but I don't think anyone should be that surprised if they look much better in the playoffs than they did in the regular season. Kinda hard to care that much about the grind of the regular season when you've been a one seed multiple times and have disappointing playoff exits. The real season just started, good start boys, protect home court tomorrow and buy more time for Giannis to not feel rushed back.

It has surely been noted somewhere in here, but I'll add it again. While I'm a big fan of Jrue Holiday, he's not giving Indy the offensive punch in the mouth that Dame did yesterday.

We'll get a better feel if one's relative strengths prove more valuable than the other's (for the Bucks) as time passes, but at least in this scenario where Giannis is down and you need someone to carry the team...Dame has been accustomed to doing that at playoff time for years. If they survive this series and G comes back later to produce a long Bucks run, it's looking like it'd be the clear "this is why we got Dame" moment.

Dame has more points in a single playoff game than Jrue's entire tenure here. It took one half of one game to top it.

Such a shame Haliburton got hurt. If he was playing more like he was earlier in the year this would be a really fun series, but if he plays more like he did in game 1 this might not last long...but this is an inexperienced team in their first post-season together, with the better coach. So unless Milwaukee just plasters the Pacers in game 2, I think this still goes 6.

Surprised by Game 1 honestly ... Thinking it was maybe rust more than inexperience in that 1st half. Bucks starters are just more seasoned, probably better prepared to "stay ready" with the long layoff than the Pacers guys. Indy had so much more bounce in their step in the 2nd half, I'm rooting for them so I hope that continues in Game 2.

Where are the made a mistake letting Griffin go folks at? This game is Exhibit A and all you really need to know why exactly he was told to take a hike.

When are we going to have the conversation that Haliburton is basically the non season ending injury version of Lonzo Ball? Hes a good all around player but he has no offensive bag and will never be a top 3 scoring option on a serious contending team.

So bizarre. I had no idea Dame scored 35 in the first half and 0 in the second until this morning.

I would have waited a little longer before pulling the trigger on this one, lol
