I would rate Rosas as a mid tier GM due to the extreme hit an miss record he compiled. In terms of the draft, he hit on Ant, McDaniels, and Reid and missed on Culver, Balmaro, and the 2021 draft (lost a mid lottery pick and an early 2nd to acquire DLO).

I think that’s fair. He deserves credit for picking Ant over LaMelo and Wiseman, but loses some of those points because he was trying to trade the top pick right up until the draft, so he didn’t see Ant as a clear superstar.

It should also be noted that we tend to rate GM’s by their draft picks and trades, but there is so much more to the job. For example, rumors were rampant that Rosas was hated by most of the front office staff, overbearing and self-important, and would go into rages with fellow employees. That’s not the way to set a culture for the organization.

I should qualify my post a little, when I rated Rosas as a mid tier GM that was almost solely based on his roster building. The other aspects of being a GM are also important and I think Connelly is a major upgrade in terms of all the off court things that go unseen outside the organization.

Oh at first that tweet wouldn't load I didn't realize he said that in 2022. I was like uhh not really. Today's Suns is more like "is it your turn? Or my turn?" They don't even have a point guard.

Booker's infatuation with Durant killed the team. He went from having CP3 as a leader/mentor to hanging out with KD. :banghead:

Imagine bailing on another team & realising that Cam Thomas was the answer all along

yeah, this is a sweep. I don't see how the Suns can take a game from Minny. horrible matchups for the Suns and the Wolves are much better to begin with.

I think the Suns will win at least one game from just shooting lights out.

it's certainly possible but you'd be hard pressed to find a team that shot the lights out vs. these Wolves

people are still sleeping on them, they're the best team in the West and that's with Denver still around :)
rememeber that ANT started the season pretty slowly and later KAT missed a couple of months

Wolves were firmly in the lead in the crazy stacked West and would have finished comfortobaly first had KAT not been injured

they're really good and this Suns team simply isn't and the gap grows even larger because of the matchup specific issues the Suns face in this series

we'll see but tbh game 3 is their only shot, they're a mentally weak team and Wolves are super hungry, they won't be able to win game 4 if they're 0-3 down. so if they plan to get hot, tonight would be the time :)

Refs will give the Suns every call.

Wolves need to ignore it.

Would argue this is kinda significant if Phoenix wants to turn the series around

It's actually terrifying to hear a wolf howl. It only happens in the north when they get desperate.

It's because we are essentially running a 3 guards lineup when the Suns are also playing EG or Grayson as third guard.

Can't pass, rebound, finish inside or even shoot the ball well from outside.

Suns are at home and have made adjustments. A win tonight can completely change the complexion of the series, this is a must win. A lot of pressure goes right back on the Timberwolves if the Suns get a good victory.

From too low in Dallas to too high in Phoenix.
