Brunson for now.
Edwards has a higher ceiling though.

Ant man…
Ant man might not be as smart as Brunson on decisions… but he is a better player on both ends

It's Brunson by a huge amount, Ant is wildly overrated because his face looks like MJ's face.

Ant's a much better two-way player...but Jalen's the more unstoppable offensive driver. Especially late in games, when Brunson's had time to figure a team out.

Edwards. Easily. Brunson is too small. He's going to get exploited in the playoffs defensively. He's like a micro luka, which is still really good but not top tier. He's not better than kyrie yet, although he'll play harder over the course of a season.

Making smart decisions is a major part of bball And Brunson is smarter on both offense and defense. It could be argued Brunson is a better defender...

Easily? He’s been better than both Ant and Kyrie this season.

Edwards is much better defensively but is also still figuring out how to be efficient offensively.

I think they’re pretty even overall, but I expect Ant to pass Jalen if he continues to develop.

It's not just narratives

Brunson: -0.5 D-EPM, -0.73 D-DARKO, -0.92 D-LEBRON
Edwards: +1.5 D-EPM, +0.36 D-DARKO, +0.19 D-LEBRON

Yet whenever people try to put a cap on Brunson’s ceiling he continues to smash expectations. He hasn’t even reached his peak IMO and continues to get better and better.

I mean the only reason I would take Ant right now is due to age and athleticism. He’s also a better defensive player.

Brunson might be one of the most offensively skilled guards in the entire league. He can burn you in so many ways. Pull up 3’s and middys. Floaters and turn around fades in the paint. Can back down/post and exploit bigger guards in the post due to his strength and excellent footwork. He can play off the ball and catch and shoot. He can literally take anyone one on one and create any angle to get buckets. He can read defenses when they blitz and double him, and is never forced to change his pace even when heavily pressured. Dude is a walking bucket
and floor general.

He might even be better again next year when he starts becoming more of a merchant like SGA and Embiid. He’ll get an even more favorable whistle as well now that his rep has skyrocketed.

I'd say Brunson. Really though, I think it depends on need.

In the regular season he's better than kyrie because he has to carry the team. Kyrie is a better basketball ayer though. Watch both and it's clear. Kyrie had a tighter handle. Better shooter. Equal defender locked in. Better rebounder. Passing is a wash.

Most people get way too caught up in ability and underrate actual performance.

Give me the guy that has carried his team & performs consistently all while having an enormous burden on his shoulders. That guy is Brunson

It's been a minute since this was true.
