just watching these highlights from a month ago. AD/Rui/Lebron had no answer for Jokic. Just flat out dominated and did whatever he wanted. This was a home game for the lakers too.

another home game for the lakers and not that long ago (february game) where they choked under pressure. For whatever reason, the last 5 minutes of the game, Lakers melt like butter against the nuggets. No Dlo (the supposed x-factor) either cause he got run off the court.

I know there's a recency bias with the lakers and lot of laker media/homers wanting to crown lebron the goat but come on barring an injury to Murray/Jokic, it shouldn't last more than 6 games.

The lakers are one of the top teams in the league in clutch minutes except against the Nuggets. Probably a reason for that, it's not a fluke.

Yeah, Lakers are a different team when something is on the line in comparison to regular season games. 3 of their 4 games last year against Nuggets in WCF are just one possession game with less than a minute left, Denver just execute better down the wire. This is with LeBron having a torn tendon and DLo averaged 6.3 ppg and shot 32% FG and 13% 3PT during the series. Still, LeBron will be 40 years old in 8 months. I just want another competitive series but if they steal Game 1 in Denver or down 0-2 but even the series at 2-2, I got Lakers in 6.

Man, Michael Porter is having a rough week. Jontay banned for life and Coban sentenced to six years for his DUI that killed a woman. He either blocks out the noise and completely obliterates the Lakers or he will be a mess all playoffs (however long they last for the team).

The thing about putting Rui on Jokic is that it was a gameplan copied from the Sixers when Doc Rivers put PJ Tucker on Jokic in the 2nd half and had Embiid as the "roamer".

The problem for the Lakers is that Jokic has now completely adjusted to it. The last time these teams play in March, the Lakers put Rui on Jokic and it ended very badly for them.

I think this is going to be a long series.

The sweep last year was a bit misleading. The games were mostly competitive.

Lakers have a lot of momentum right now, and they will be extra motivated for this series. They will bring a lot of intensity. The Nuggets may not be as desperate, and I could see them dropping a couple games. Porter's family situation will impact his play too, I presume.

LA are also one of the few teams with the top-end talent to upset the Nuggets.

Nuggets in 7. But with some concerns.
