Just went somewhere got in my truck I had Colin Cowherd on the radio first thing I heard was Ham was coming back. They wanted to get ahead of any rumors they were letting him go, they're not firing him.

No. As a SoCal native, and life-long Laker fan, I personally hated this era.

This Laker era reminded me of when your favorite show loses its main cast and writers, but the network refuses to end the show because it thinks it can milk it dry. It felt like Saved By the Bell: The New Class.

It was Vogel's fault, now it's Ham's...

The bench look like a G-League's one, Lebron doesn't even try on defense and Reaves/Russell/Rui are too inconsistent.

Why is it that

When Lebron wins all we hear is “He’s the GOAT” “He’s so great” “He carried the team”

But when other superstars like Kobe, Curry or Jokic win “He had great teammates” “the team carried him” “aaron gordon mpj etc is better than this or that”

Then when Lebron loses “he needs more help” “it’s darvin ham” “his teammates suck”

It’s crazy how Lebron and his fans never give credit to his teammates when he literally team hops and got the best stars in their prime from wade to kyrie to AD not mentioning others and is the benefactor of the two most clutch shots in nba history by kyrie and ray allen yet all we hear is how great he is when he wins then when other teams beat him it’s never jokic or curry or dirk is better it’s because the supporting cast is better lmao

Really i think lebron and his posse is just a master of marketing branding and narratives that they skew media perception of him and made him this king when in reality he is a team-hopping weak leader whose brand of basketball and system is not that good his high basketball iq is overrated it’s designed to give him stats but not team wins

Is your argument really that Joker doesn't get enough praise? There's a thread about him being the best player since Michael Jordan. I think the praise he gets goes too far too times, he's won 1 ring and they didn't beat higher than a 4 seed and now they get the same Lakers again. I will praise him when they get through Wolves then OKC/Mavs/Clippers and then Boston probably.

I’m tired of this story being narrated through the lakers eyes. Nuggets are defending champs. The lakers were a play in team.

Technically they are a 8th seed Playoff Team
They would've been playing the OKC under normal circumstances

The media spends more time talking about Lebron and the Lakers than all the other teams combined. Fans are also intrigued by Lebron who's more popular at 39 than Joker will ever be. He's actually more loved and more hated, he's a controversial figure which gets attention.

They would have been in a better place if they did and everyone knows it...but people keep saying this as if it's something they could have deliberately done.

Or maybe they should play a little better in RS and don't end in play-in. I'm kinda surprised that a team that is supposedly top team in the West finished RS on the 8th place. How is that possible?

Kings 8 seed vs the Thunder.
Pels 7 seed vs the Nuggets.
