these grievances are legit, but they never forced NBA to change the outcome of the game

Huge news. I've been following the NBA for a long time and this is the first time I've seen a complaint about the officiating in a game. Blown calls never happen in this league and there were certainly no blown calls that went against the Knicks in this game.

I applaud Philly for standing up for justice!!

Tough to have some serious old legs playing such heavy minutes (Lowry 38, Batum 35) and Embiid only has enough juice for like 3 quarters. Sixers need more from some of their young bench players. Buddy only 15 minutes and 2 three point attempts?

I've got a lot of respect for the Knicks after just two games. They play hard and do not give up. Would kill to have Josh Hart on Philly.

For most of the game, Philly adjusted well after getting blitzed on the boards in game 1. Their guards seemed to be digging down a lot harder on the defensive glass. But then the Knicks turned it up another notch at the end, Philly wasn't prepared and NY deservedly won the game. Point to the officiating all you want, but every single 76er player made at least one crucial error in that final sequence.

I think I misread your initial post. Thought you were criticizing Embiid for not having as much gas left as Lowry & Batum so I wanted to point out that not only does he play much harder minutes than they do, he played more of them in that game...despite running on fumes by the end.

Re-reading your post it makes more sense the way you meant it, so I should've been able to figure it out lol.

But yeah, Lowry and Oubre* have been better than I expected, but the rest of that Philly supporting cast was MIA at the Garden...I mean we were winning the non-Brunson minutes in that second half ffs...if those role players don't play a lot better at home, the 6ers are going to have a very hard time holding serve.

I do give Embiid alot of credit for playing almost 40 mins while fighting through a leg injury and what appears to be having a stroke. If only the role players around him had as much resolve and grit to help him.

To be considered a great player, you need to deliver in the playoffs and lead your team. Embiid isn't doing that, regardless of health circumstances. He's already 30 and the health situation isn't going to get better, it will get worse. Otherwise he'll be known as that whining regular season foul merchant.
