Aaah no

Brunson has a team behind him, Embiid has Maxey & very little else

Maxey is an all star. We don’t have any other all star playing, ours is injured. The #2 scoring options have been guys who aren’t even offensive players like Josh hart or og anunoby

That said Embiid has probably still been the better player in the series just because Brunson’s first two games were such stinkbombs and Embiid balled out in those games even in defeat

That could change though. If Brunson does his thing in game 5 to close it out and Embiid craps the bed in the 4th quarter again Brunson is going over

Sixers starters include a Heat bench veteran, a Hornets reject and a $40 million man averaging 8.8 ppg

It’s insane how bad everyone bar Embiid and Maxey (in spurts) have been & it’s one of the worst teams in the league when Joel doesn’t play

The Knicks are starting 2 career bench players in Hartenstein and Divencenzo and 2 role player defensive hustle guys in Hart and OG. And the only bench player we have to speak of is a 2nd round pick making 3m a year who barely played this season in McBride.

Isn’t Tobias Harris supposed to be a good basketball player? He makes 40M a year.

Great players are supposed to make their teammates better right

The dumb ones who don’t know anything about basketball maybe. I’m not sure why any team would want to give up valuable assets to get a terrible to watch rickety body crybaby who never has enough in the tank to contribute in the most important quarter of basketball.

They’re fans for a reason

It’s equally as nuts to rank Brunson alongside Embiid

Brunson isn’t shooting well but he’s averaging 33/5/9 and his team is up 3–1. I can see why that argument is being made.

But why though? Brunson has ascended to a first/second team All-NBA player this season.

Both players clearly elevate their team to another level when they are out there. That IMO is what an MVP type of player does. Even if I can't stand Embiid's antics.

This series is still very winnable for the sixers. Embiid can go off with his jumpshot. His driving kind of sucks but if he shoots well everything else in their offense flows.

I doubt he shoots better than he did in Game 3, and that 3rd quarter was the only reason they won that one so we'll see I guess.

honestly it’ll be smart of the sixers to shut him down at this point. they’re not gonna win the series.. let him get a head start on his recovery for team usa and next season

Brunson is terribly inefficient with -8.3 rTS. And he isn't the defensive presence Embiid is.

It's kind of like comparing Iverson vs. Shaq in 2001.

Insinuating Embiid is the Shaq equivalent in any type of comparison is far more ridiculous than trying to argue Brunson over Embiid.

Fact of the matter is that Embiid is 3-18 in the fourth quarter this series and half the time he’s on defense he’s taking the play off. He provides little during the most crucial quarter of basketball.

Brunson had a poor game 1 and 2 while he adjusted to the sixers game plan but ate Philly alive in game 3 and 4, and he did it with half the FTs Embiid gets.

Can’t fault anyone for saying Brunson has outplayed Embiid this series.

If he wasn't so injury-prone, yes. I won't cap, lol.

That said, I think if the Knicks got him, he'd become Amare part 2 within a year or two.

Lol, you and the other Nets fans would give up their left nut to have a player like Brunson on your team.

i hate Embiid with a passion but this has been the best series by a mile. Hopefully he can play and extend the series.

Agreed. Joel has a lot of work to do to prove he's as much of a winner as Brunson.

I never said he's literally Shaq just saying what kind of comparison it is. Brunson is nowhere close to Embiid in this series in terms of overall impact.
