Maxey saved Embiid from a generational slander. Sometimes you need your robins for these moments. But this should go down as a legendary game in Sixers history

Yea it’s not like he’s hurt or anything. Context matters, you can’t just be waiting around to bash a guy that’s clearly playing through injuries and Bell Palsy and a migraine.

If he’s that hurt, he should not be out there playing. Knicks were taking advantage of his defense cause he was slow on rotations and offensively he turned the ball over TEN times.

You can make the Sixers would’ve won the game easier if Embiid didn’t play at all and they had 10 extra possessions instead with the ball in Maxey’s hands.

True but in OT you can see Embiid was no longer gonna allow those drive-bys no more. Brunson went at him like 4x in a row, 3 of those they didn't make a bucket. That's where the game was lost. Thibs needed to call a different play. I think this loss is on Thibs. For not fouling Maxey before his 3 point attempts at the end of regulation. Not calling time outs to defend those 3s. And that sequence of Brunson layups Embiid blew up.

Brunson cost the Knicks the game. He’s not a superstar player

Game shouldn't have gone to overtime, his teammates let him down. Hart and OG missed fts and Robinson giving up the 4pt play left the door open just enough.

How did his teammates let him down? He didn't pass to any of them since midway through the 4th.

He just iso'd and chucked to end the game. Horrible basketball. He absolutely isn't ready for this.

I agree. Brunson **** this game for them. Basically freezing his teammates up going iso ball every play. He also **** that pass to hartenstein ball hogging a 3 ball, then acting like its hartensteins fault for not catching it.

Why not exactly? Not a fan of either but these games have gone back and forth all series. It might take a few bounces to change an outcome. Knicks probably should have won gm 5 but Philly could say the same if gm 2. Game 6 and possibly game 7 could go either way

Anything is possible...but it took an all-time great performance from Maxey and the refs just looking the other way while Embiid went around tackling dudes and hitting them in the dick, to get their wins. With 2 more cracks at finishing the job, it's really hard not to see Brunson getting it done. Especially with this reminder that the team can't get as over-exuberant as the fanbase.

Bahahaha. I'll take that, but it's Maxey's shine you're giving to us. That's just an all time great game and you've gotta clap the young fella. His team quit, but he wouldn't let them.

It's been an awesome series, but these RealGMers just couldn't wait 'til the clock hit zero to slander Embiid. Now, if he comes out and has a good game on Thursday, they'll just look so foolish. Even the people who want to slander Nick Nurse. I could feel it coming. I waited for the Lakers to officially lose before getting my licks in.

Tbf we can still slander Embiid. Maxey won this game despite Embiid's play

As bad as he was, he still had 19 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 blocks. 9 turnovers were bad, but they don't win that game with Paul Reed eating his minutes.

I'm just being realistic. Too many overconfidence Knicks fans in this thread making us look like fools(right now currently). Knicks were down like 1 with like 6 minutes to go and they were saying guarantees the Knicks were gonna win, it was ridiculous.

I thought we played too much hero ball in overtime but Maxey took it. Those were two improbable shots.

Knicks don't really have a secondary scorer right now so there is a lot on Brunson's shoulders. He played well for most of the game

There was one play in OT after Brunson put us up where he missed OG in the corner and it led to an easy Sixer bucket. That pissed me off. But you lose some, y'know?
