Hats off to Maxey. He did this thing tonight. Back to Philly.

Maxey shot IMPOSSIBLE shots to tie this game. In my eyes, it wasn't Knicks choking. It was Maxey taking the game by the throat and taking it.

If Thibs wasn't asleep, he would have fouled Maxey when he was red hot. Then he made another mistake by not calling TO after Maxey made the shot resulting in a predictable Brunson chuck.

It must seem like a different era in basketball back then when it was automatic that teams would foul near the end of regulation time to shut out the game.

What gives? Is there some sort of gentleman's rule where you have to give the opponent a chance? I've always questioned this.

This happened in the Pacers vs Bucks game too, although Pacers won it back in OT.

Sorry Knicks fans, as soon as I said NY plays smart basketball they started doing dumb things like fouling Maxey on a three....then not fouling him before he can get off a three when down three.

Is Embid injured?
Watching this series it really looks like his playing trough something. Just getting this feeling that Bid is going to completly break down on any given play - awkward landings settling for jumpers and looking like he's on his last legs for majority of the game. He never looked healthy to me - even in his 50 point outing.

Huge props to Maxey, he extended Sixers season today by himself.
When the individual feels, the community reels.

Eyeatoma, bro can you like... idk chill with spamming the thread with random tweets.

You went MIA after Game 4, keep that same energy.. us Knicks fan didn't go into hiding after Game 3.. so

Idk, you're cool man but like, you also really like to spam random dumb SIxers tweets when they win, but go MIA when they lose is not a great look imo.

Probably the worst Knicks playoff loss since Reggie in 95.

I don’t expect to Embiid to be that careless with the ball on Thursday. He was literally trying to lose that game in the 4th quarter.

I honestly don’t feel confident about game 6. A blowout loss is easier to shake off. Losing a game like this stings really bad and now Philly feels like they have a legit chance. I guess we’ll see how tough this Knicks team really is.

Dude, Brunson had 40 too lol.

These teams look even to me. Philly already choked a game away just like this last week lol.

No one remembers the 40. People only remember the costly mistakes.

Also, Donte needs to wake the hell up. He has been MIA the last couple of games. He was bricking everything. I also want to see Precious get some minutes.

Teams are afraid of fouling a 3 point shooter in the act of shooting even from 40 feet out.

Blame Stephen curry (and to a later level trae young) and others trying to be in the act of shooting from way deep outside.

It’s a huge risk to try to grab the ball handler who has instincts just to jack any shot if he knows he will be fouled.

It's like the opposite of when the Cowboys lose.

Also he is right about Hart. He looked horrible in crunch time.

He's right, what has Curry ever done in the NBA. Guys the size of Curry and Brunson can never do anything in the NBA.

Ummm Curry is like 6'3 with shoes

No, the strat of fouling with the lead is to foul them BEFORE they attempt the 3, put them on the line for 2 and dribble out the next possession.
