true dat, I should have qualified by saying they are likely to have plenty more opportunities, obviously things can always happen to derail that

Man…this is an interesting question.
Even if we are disregarding my favorite team (Lakers), it’s hard for me to answer this regarding any WC team because I have too much of a bias subconsciously.
So:
Miami/NY would be my choices. Unfortunately neither team will be at full strength.
I suppose I could see myself rooting for OKC or Minny in a hypothetical world where the Lakers are eliminated.
****, maybe even Dallas depending on the context.

As a Jazz fan I am obligated to put it all on the line for Gobert

OKC especially OKC to beat the suns and Durant in the WCF (although i know this scenario is very unlikely).

I don't know if I'd say I'm rooting for them, but the Thunder are a fun team to watch.

Denver because Jokic’s success and greatness clearly annoys the national talking heads as far as what they think the NBA’s best player should look and play like post-Jordan. A back-to-back title with an MVP would make their heads explode.

OKC or Denver. Every team in the East can go F themselves.

It's weird to me that 3rd-party fans don't support the Celtics more. Yes, the franchise as a whole has won a lot, but *this particular group* has not despite being a mostly-homegrown team of young players who have tried to do everything the right way. They're not arrogant ****, they're not dirty players, so the hate doesn't really make any sense to me other than people thinking the Celtics franchise has too many rings.
I guess for some reason people just like loud-mouth showboaters more than people who just show up to work and do the best they can.

Celtics in the East (Knicks a close 2nd)
Mavs in the West (Twolves I'd be happy for)
Celtics -- This is actually a fun team to watch and I feel like the core duo of Tatum/Brown gets bashed or underrated a bit, so that makes them underdogs in some weird way despite being a juggernaut team. A chip would totally change how everyone views them and the success they've had for years. It would be kind of a tragic story if they never get there and keep almost making it.
Mavs -- Luka and Kyrie just produce so many highlights! I also like a Kyrie 'redemption' ark in the sense that nobody wanted to touch him with a 10ft pole for awhile.

Am I the only one getting a kick out of "Exp0sed" and "Michael Jackson" quoting eachother?

Nuggets because last time they won, Kroenke splashed the cash on a bunch of new signings for Arsenal which is my favorite soccer team

And I will be checking the Jazz board during the playoffs, to see any of your fans’ violation of that blood oath!
For me, it’s the Magic. They don’t get the national coverage they deserve, their fans have waited a long time, and only a couple act like jerks as posters here.

Lakers
Heat
Knicks
Probably in that order just for entertainment value. Lebron getting another championship would break the internet for sure.
Only team I don't want is the Mavs bc I hate LUka

Go Luka!
I'd be alright with a Denver repeat.

Re: Team you're really rooting for (other than your favorite)
Denver is probably the closest I have to a team. I'd probably choose the Pacers if not them, but really I find Minnesota, OKC, and Dallas pretty likeable (Dallas occasionally goes both ways, but I enjoy watching them a lot), so while I'll be rooting against them in the West, I'd be happy to root for any of them should they make the Finals. Same with the Kings/Pelicans winner. And heck, I even find the current Lakers likeable (though I do like LeBron, so it's not too surprising, but I hated watching the version from early last year).
Honestly the only teams I'm rooting against are the Suns/Clips in the West and Boston/76ers/Milwaukee in the East. And Boston's actually decently likeable as a team, I just tend to root against Boston. And Giannis is pretty likeable even if I don't like Doc and kind of want the Dame teammate to crash.
I don't think there are a great number of "villain" teams this year. The Suns looked like they'd have the best chance to play the role, but they underperformed.
