People said the same with 08 Celtics taking 7 games to win every series

In those people's defense, those Celtics weren't dropping home games to injured low seeds.

In your defense, it's Spo.

Miami could wheel out five guys in wheelchairs and Spo would somehow have them engaged in a tough battle against us.

That 2008 Atlanta team was legit garbage and the much vaunted 2008 Celts were on the verge of elimination against them.

LOL at these half ass compliments. The Heat have good players and are well coached. Period. It’s not luck. It’s preparation, hard work, discipline and execution. Put respect on it.

Eh it happens man. As I’ve said, any team who shoots like Miami did today, they’re winning 99% of games.

Now if this is a trend that continues into game 3, then we can start to worry.

The HEAT are the ECF champs for a reason.

in fairness to all...the reason is out....

Playoff Jimmy will not be playing this series, and the Heat are missing their starting Point Guard with a 20 year old PF and a rookie having to start.....

I could easily see why people see Celtics in 4, just as I could now see people thinking Cs in 5...

Miami has a hell of an up hill battle....

Expect an even bigger blowout win for Game 2.

people are going to fawn over Jaylen Brown but the Heat intentionally defended him one on one with their worst defender most of the time and were happy to let him go off. Tatum on the other hand gets better defenders and help defenders cheating his way. That's why he struggles more than Brown agains the Heat.

For years, going back to Stevens, through Udoka and now Mazzulla, the Celtics system is to make teams beat them from three. With Butler out and another three point shooter on the floor, this strategy works in the Heat's favor. These types of games aren't flukes. The Heat have now done this multiple times over multiple series these past several years. I like Mazzulla but it's time for him to tell Stevens and his system to get bent and put a stop to this. Stop doubling guys. Stop switching. There's no need. This would put an end to wide open shooters.

lol didn't see this coming, thought HEAT was going to get swept for sure but I'm glad they're making it a series. Tatum and Brown scored well but the other didn't do squat ! maybe that's how to beat boston. Anyway, Celtics had too much iso plays

Teams that shot 53.5% or better from 3 this season were 51-5.

I’ve seen every game this year. They don’t have that win-every-game mentality. Talent and consistency are two very different things. It’s frustrating but it what it is at this point.

I'd be able to somewhat comprehend a lackadaisical mindset after the core has amassed a championship or 2. But not a hungry team wanting to make its mark with multiple championships makes no sense to me.

Makes no sense to me either. They say all the right things but their performance speaks otherwise time and time again.

I thought this was supposed to be a Super Team?

Best regular season record, paying at home, fully healthy.

While the 8th seed Heat are missing 2 starters and playing on the road and still win by double digits.
