Not that hot of a take there are a lot of haters in this thread.

I mean all you can do is blowout the team in front of you. Not OKC’s fault Zion isn’t playing.

Woulda coulda shoulda, Thunder in 5.

I'm just saying LeBron and AD together both couldn't stop Zion in the Play in game. Chet and Dort would get destroyed or seriously hurt trying to guard him

Maybe. Everybody has opinions and theories. Then there’s reality. Where both the Pels and Lakers are heading to Galveston next weekend.

I'm just curious you really think OKC is making the finals?

I don’t think I said that anywhere in here. I just find it really odd when fans of other teams try to process their grief by coming into this thread to rip on the team that earned the 1 seed over a long season.

Spoiler:

If you lack any confidence in the Lakers coming back 3-0, understand this

It’s very possible for the Lakers to get a couple more wins if they can execute, seeing how they’re often winning against them.

let me tell you something about time leading a game.

a friend of mine invited a woman to a date. took her to dinner (most expensive restaurant in town) at 9 pm. at 11 pm they went to a club and they spent an extra 3 hours in the club. another friend of mine got in the club 3 a.m, saw her, talked to her for 15 minutes and took her out to a cheap motel.

that's time leading a game for you.

3-0 comebacks is unprecendent. lakers isn't elite. nuggets are.

We (OKC fans) didn't care. LOL

NBA media completely ignored the Thunder the entire season, despite the fact that since December 1st, the Thunder maintained a top 3 seed in the West for all but 3 days.

If teams like the Lakers, Warriors, or Knicks put up the statistical season that OKC did, the national media would be falling all over themselves praising them day in and day out. But since it was the small market Thunder..... *crickets*. And they only had a small number of national TV games, which were usually assigned to NBA TV. And a couple of them were against a bad Spurs team just so they could get a Wemby v. Chet matchup.

Therefore, I and about 99% of the OKC fan base had big grins of satisfaction on our faces when our guys stiff-armed TNT and chose to do their interview with the media that's actually been rocking with them all season.

What's really "cringe" is having to listen to media guys mispronounce our guys names and make comments that highlight just how little they've paid attention to the Thunder all season.

Like yesterday after SGA picked up his 2nd foul in the 1st quarter, one of the color analysts says, "that's SGA's 2nd foul. He's going to have to start the 2nd quarter on the bench."

Anyone who watches OKC already knows that Shai pretty much always starts the 2nd quarter on the bench because he plays the entire 1st quarter. That's been his normal rotation pretty much the entire season.

Im a Charlotte fan bro, trust me I feel your pain about the Nat'l media not paying attention to small markets.

My comment had nothing to do with the market of OKC. I was simply saying those post game interviews are getting cringe. I get they love each other, but cmon it gets old after a while.

Yeah you can tell that Shai thinks it corny as hell. I think I've seen him do it maybe once or twice. Usually he'll just smile and roll his eyes when they start barking.

So injuries to key players only matter when they support your hot takes. Got it.

You do realize Zion is not just a key player

He's a Generational Player that is unstoppable
Monk and Huerter or not even in the same realm

It's been 4 years, 10 months, and 8 days since Zion was drafted and he has yet to play in a playoff game. He is clearly stoppable.

Take it easy on the hyperbole. Generational, unstoppable? How about he make an All NBA team first. I'm sorry he destroyed your Lakers, but Huerter and Monk combined for a higher percentage of their team's offense (22%) than Zion did (20%). They were huge losses for the Kings

Very impressive. The Lakers should hang that banner from the rafters. The Thunder beat the Nuggets 3/4 this year, BTW.
