Prove to my he tried to hurt him. He pulled him down to protect himself. It was reckless and stupid no doubt. Yeah it was dirty. But knowing the psychology of people generally when you are always suffering injuries I find it very hard to believe he wants others to get hurt as well.

Protect himself? He freaking pulled him towards himself. That's not trying to protect yourself. That's putting yourself in more danger just to make sure the other guy definitely gets hurt.

Again, you do not bear hug someone's legs while in the air. You just don't. When you do, you're trying to injure them. Period. Every player knows that you don't pull that kind of ****.

And as I've said before emotions go the better of him. He basically said dont' even come close to landing on me, I'm going to get you the **** out of the way, even if I have to throw you off me. Very risky, with a high likeliness to hurt someone. That doesn't mean that he wanted to hurt him. That means he was dealing with enough **** that he had a brain fart. What **** was he dealing with? Injured leg, paralysed face, team facing a 3-0 hole, the continuous talk about him coming up small in the playoffs. It's inexcusable, doesn't mean he meant to hurt. You can argue it all along, but unless you were actually in his mind you dont' know that. If he actually wanted to hurt him he could have done far worse.

I bolded that part because I wanted to point out that this is NOT how you generally prove intent. If you had to actually be in someone's mind to prove someone's intent then you could never realistically prove that anyone did anything intentionally. That's an impossible standard to set and, obviously, it doesn't really work that way.

Did Embiid know that an injury can occur if you bear hug someone's leg while they are in mid air? Yep, he did. Did he choose to bear-hug Robinson's legs while he was in mid air despite having the knowledge that this can result in an injury? Yes, he did. Therefore, what he did was no accident. His actions showed intent to harm.

It was three pronged:
1. Embiid's 3 year media campaign and attacks on Jokic directly (remember, he called out Jokic's defense and said he never won anything in an interview that dropped the same day that Embiid ducked the Denver game last season)

2. Perkins and Smith playing the race card

3. Gatekeeper voters not wanting Jokic to receive an honor they stupidly denied to LeBron and Jordan (neither of them ever won 3 straight even though they should have). It's just like how for a long time baseball HOF voters had an unwritten rule that nobody should ever get 100% of the vote because Babe Ruth didn't, which caused some crazy idiots to actually vote "no" on the first HOF ballot for guys like Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Greg Maddux, Stan Musial, Ted Williams, and other obvious all-time greats of the sport. Shameful.
