Is the Bucks' title window closed now?

Post#1 » by WestGOAT » Sun Apr 28, 2024 8:21 pm

With Lillard and Giannis being out Doc has an convenient excuse to come back next season. We all know that's not going to end well.

Where does Giannis end up eventually? Would be a pity for him to waste his prime with the Bucks, especially considering how him being injury prone might shorten his career.

Yes. I caught a lot of flack for stating the apparent mistake of firing Griffin, and rest assured; it's not going to get any easier for them as their core and supplemental players age.

I think they'll try to squeeze another year out of this group. But I'm not so sure that they'll make it. Just have to be healthy when the playoffs roll around and they have a shot, I suppose.

It ended last year. Team is already too old.

Probably but at least they got 1 which is better than nothing. Just like KG and Dirk, Giannis got his.

Lillard really isn’t that good and is getting older. Cus the East really isn’t that good if they get lucky they could possibly reach another Finals at some point but wouldn’t bet much on them to win it all again.

As long as they're healthy they have a chance. They've had health issues the last 2 years, and 3 if we're being honest given how 2022 ended. They actually haven't lost a series healthy since they won the title.

They're getting too old. Unless they all make miraculous rejuvenation like Middleton did in the playoffs.

League should pair a young star with Giannis like it’s LA

It's been closed... They only won one due to some extremely unsportsmanlike, bush league tactics that the league turned a blind eye to in order to push the international superstar narrative.

I disagree that they wasted Giannis prime. They were aggressive in adding talent to get to him a ring. They ultimately succeeded but with the age of the team this was the flip side of what could happen. Did anyone expect an in prime mids to get injured

The Lillard trade has been pretty disappointing for both parties so far.
Bucks haven't gotten better at all and the Blazers' future doesn't seem promising either

I think Dlo, Hachimura and Reeves do match salaries and the Bucks should take that deal before Giannis becomes a FA.

It ended the minute they hired Doc. Only solace is a poor start to the season next year and canning Doc.

POR does have some MIL picks/swaps, which might or might not be worth something.
