I honestly won't blame some of them. The economy is in the toilet and they figured hey if we can get some Knicks fans to pay a crap ton of markup to cover up some of the renewal for season tickets next season why not. Others may have become numb to the team letting them down in the playoffs that they figured hey why not make profit off of it.

Don't have a horse in this race, but it's fun to see these NY/PHI fans go at it.

As an outsider who visits regularly; the Nets did have a chance to carve out a spot in the NY sports scene, for a year or so it even looked like it might be happening with the younger generation...but then the Nets imploded, the Knicks got back on track, and the city of New York forgot it had a team in Brooklyn.

Basketball is the only sport where it's this pronounced. The Islanders, Jets, and Mets aren't as popular as the Rangers, Giants, & Yankees, but they all still have significant support in New York. Whereas the Knicks just dominate. Brooklyn did have a moment after getting Kyrie & KD when people were frustrated with the knicks and excited for the Nets, but that lasted for about a year until Kyrie went full Rogan and Thibs arrived.
