Will Luka end up as best player ever to never win MVP & ring?

His talent demands that he will win at least 1 MVP if not more. But NBA has a burst of talent in his era. Older players like Jokic, Embiid, Giannis are still great talent and in their primes. Then there are same era players like SGA, Ant who are great talent and are improving a lot. And then the new ones like Wemby, Chet who are going to be great. With his bad conditioning he is not going to have a long career and it will be very hard for him to win MVP.

Regarding ring, Dallas is not free agent destination so I dont see much upgrade. His team is good but talent wise they are far behind than some other teams like Celtics, OKC, Wolves, etc. and probably will always be like that in his career. I think Luka will spend his career in Dallas entirely and does not look like they are winning a ring in his career.

All hinges on when he decides to join the purple and gold.

He will win an MVP I’m almost certain.

Ring is more random and to some extent out of his control. I will be shocked if he doesn’t win MVP though.

Probably not ring anytime soon because his legacy is tied to Jason Kidd now at least until the end of his 20's. But I have no idea what will happen in his 30's, maybe he'll leave Dallas.

MVP I'm not 100% sure he'll win one either due to the emergence of SGA, Ant and Wemby but he has a greater chance of MVP than ring. We can't even say for sure that Joker is done winning them.

No. Elgin Baylor will continue to be that guy.

I'm certain he'll be among the leaders for several more years, but there's a pretty good chance he never wins one. Next year it could easily be Jokic again, or SGA. And soon he'll have others to contend with too, namely Wemby. I'd say it's more likely than not that Luka wins an MVP, but there's a good chance he doesn't.

I think the real question is will Dallas be a top 3 seed in the west in the next few years? Because if they are, and Luka is still averaging basically a 30pt triple double, he'll get MVP.

A title is going to be more difficult though.

I think Luka's best chance to win MVP was this season as his numbers were insane (#1 in points per game, #15 in rebounds, #2 in assists), almost average a triple-double, and his team improves a lot (from missing play-in to #5 in West).

Jokic ain't winning next year with the Nuggets about to lose in the second round.

If he wants to play on a better team, he can do that in 2026. That's only 2 years away.

I was going to say Embiid but he isn’t better than Charles let alone Luka. At least they made it to the finals

Yeah I just don't think he'll leave then, but anything's possible.

He most certainly will win MVP at some point. It's way too early to make these kinda statements though. He's like 25 and a top 3 player in the league. He has plenty of time

lol he's 25. If he wants he can play at least 8 more years as a top player.

What's up with all these overreactions after 1 game on every series?

He would join the Jokic and the Nuggets before he would join the Lakers lol. Not that I think Luka would leave the mavs. If he did he would probably join his best friend in the NBA

He's not 30 or anything, the majority of his prime is still in front of him. Extremely premature to assume he can't accomplish one or both of those things.

Im already convinced he's not going to win a championship in Dallas. This was literally their best chance to win it all and Luka happens to be not fully healthy.

SGA and Ant shook up the party. They are now going to be major threats in the West moving forward and they both have a better younger supporting cast than Luka and the Mavs.

I would try it one more season with Luka. If nothing comes of it the Mavs should seriously consider trading him because he might leave in FA.

I can't possibly know that.
YouTube clips can't show what kind of player Baylor had been.
I can only imagine.

Either way, Luka will definitely win MVPs even if he doesn't win a ring. I believe he will win a ring too when they get rid of Kidd in a few years.
