That would be an insane offensive lineup.

as inconsistent as odom is.. vc doesnt really help the lakers much. he brings mainly perimeter offense..and frankly the lake show doesnt need that to bring them over the top.

The Lakers would be on national television every single game they played. Even ABC would start televising weekday games.

Not to mention we lose rebounding and defense, in addition to not having a backup PG. The last thing we need is VC.

doesn't excite me much.

I'd much rather trade lamar for maggette. he brings defense and toughness

I may sound like a fool, but I think Farmar is more valuable to this current Lakers team then VC would be. This team doesn't need any more offense.

Carter is not just an offensive player, he's actually a great playmaker . He'd be a much better playmaker with Gasol , fisher and Kobe around him. He's also a good rebounder. He's averagin almost 6.0 apg with the 3rd best passer in the league beside him

VC is definitely one of the best passers for a swingman in the NBA..but the Lakers shouldn't be going after more offensive options..you already have Kobe and Odom, what's the point of getting more scorers/playmakers? they only need role players, and they already have that..

LA's team is fine, I wouldn't look for any more trades if I was them..

Let's not Compare Carter to Odom , Odom is not a headache for any defense , Vince Carter is, even with an injured ankle, It's much easier to double team Kobe and let Odom free than let Carter free

Not enough balance on either side of the court. The compatability overall wouldn't be there enough.

Who's role is to defend every game? Ariza wouldn't play nearly enough. Kobe could do it the last five minutes or some more, but he's still going to be the guy offensively over the course of the game.

I wouldn't mind if it happened though, puts questionability there and takes away noticable balance for the Lakers.

Lakers I think realize what they have in Odom, especially over the last year and how it'll be from now on. Odom now being in the role of a great team-player, doing some of everything. With Kobe/Gasol, eventually Bynum, doing the scoring ahead of him.

Don't know if they'll change things around at SF. I don't think much, if anything is needed there. They have a nice group of support guys with different types of games and roles. Adding anybody else pretty significant at SF would be over-doing it. Somebody would have to be moved, or settle for a limited role.

Don't forget they also have a player named Gasol who is a pretty decent offensive player himself.

I agree though, Lakers will have all the offense they need with Kobe-Gasol-Bynum-Odom. They need defense and toughness more than they need another offensive player.
