Uh, no. If these guys would have been more aggressive, they would have been more successful. Carter is known for tanking for no particular reason, so no surprise there. Ray Allen is hot and cold.

The only real surprise in the list is Joe Johnson...and believe me, I was surprised at how little he attacked Delonte and tried to use his significant size and strength advantage.

He's been shooting 3's great, but his defense hasnt really stood out to me. I think you'll start to see shooting guards start to exploit him. He is not a great defender, only a good one. Ben Wallace's defense has been standing out to me so far...I think Wallace deserves all defense at this point in the season.

Yeah, lets pretend it was all West when it came to defending these guys, I can't speak for other games but i assume Cavs had similar defensive pattern against Johnson as they did against Carter. It never was a single coverage, the only time Carter was defended 1on1 was when Lebron was on him, other than that every time he made his move cavs team defense cut off his driving lanes, when got in high post they run second defenders to get him to pass the ball or forcing him to take long jumpers which he wasn't making that day, at no point West was defending him by himself w/out help defense. Allen at this point is a spot up shooter, he has bad shooting games when he isn't making his jumpers. Brewer and Peterson aren't primary scorers for their teams, Hamilton stats looked good. I haven't seen Hawks game so if he really did such an amazing job on JJ, then that is the only time I can give him credit for defense.

Delonte West is a very underrated player so far this year.

1. He is a quality defender. Maybe not a great one, but he is certainly above average as a defender.

2. He has gone back to be a sharp-shooting 3-point shooter. Having a guy like Delonte around the perimeter is great. His shot is also helped now that he doesn't have to be the primary ball-handler.

3. He has above average handles for a SG. He was a PG last year but this year he is a SG so you can see where he would have good handles. What I mean by "handles" is that he can set out offense up as an off-guard and run a nice pick-and-roll on the other side of Mo.

Delonte has been a REALLY quality player for Cleveland so far this year.

Well, i wouldnt go that far, but he's doing exactly what he needs to do - Playing good team D, ball movement, and lights out 3pt shooter..

he's that freaky dude that looks like an 8 year old kid with tattoos..

he definitely needs to change his look, it's scary..you can't put a guy that looks like that on an all-defensive team, he doesn't intimidate anybody in any way..

Delonte West doesn't need fancy looks, his holy power comes from deep inside.

I'm sure he's a great defender, but there are better defenders, there's just not enough spots for Delonte to get it unless he really picks it up at a higher level like taking charges or adding steals.

I still didnt understand why the Cavs got Mo Williams when they have Delonte West on the team. They are pretty much the same player. Its not like Mo is a great play maker/pass first guard ala Billups or Calderon.

But wait, if Wade's gonna get DPOY, it's going to be hard to West to get on the All-Defensive team.

Mo and West are not similar at all. Their only similarity: both are playing great this season.

The Cavs' defensive system generally put the clamps on the opposing SG. Delonte is scrappy but not a really good individual defender.
