I think the people picking Kobe are only remembering the last 5 years of the decade.

For the first he was a ball hogging, me first poor basketball IQ player who broke up a dynasty. He won 3 rings but was playing with the best player of the era (Shaq) who could have won with anyone (and did with a much less talented Wade)

From your list... definately AI.

If I could take one of those players to build around for the entire decade, I would take Duncan and I wouldn't hestitate with my decision.

Shaq: 4 rings.

Anyone who doesn't vote for them is either:

A) Too young
B) Doesn't count 2000-2005

From 2000-2005 you literally could not stop Shaq. I was watching Nets-Lakers finals games the other day and it was just unbelievable. Kobe has never had that. A guard just can't be dominant like that in absolutely every game. Dunks will fall every game but mid-range FGs don't.

The list should only include Duncan, Kobe or Shaq since picking anyone else would be moronic. And Kidd was better than Nash this decade

Kobe! he scored like 80 points that one time but no he was never the best i mean like he never dominated you know like made everyone scared you know like shaq cause he dunked it pretty hard for a while there you know but it was only like the beginning of the dicade hey what about timmy you know he had a sweet fundamental and rings and stuff even though nash was like super valuable twice which is like double but he shouldn't a got em i guess and ai had those cornrows remember when he stepped over lue that was cool i guess and kg has like really white eyes or maybe he's just really dark i dunno but he was pretty good too i mean and lebron had like numbers and stuff but got started late i think you know like not early enough. i dunno.

AI? Nash? KG? lol...they shouldn't even be in the poll.

It's either Kobe or Duncan. Maybe Shaq

even so, u can't just fall off for 4 years and still win it, it's the whole decade not five years and Kobe and Duncan been the most consistent

I could never say that about KG. Even though he is a great player. In some way even in his prime he is Joakim Noah with a jump shot and a little better post game. Outside of that they have the exact same skill set.

It's Duncan, I don't see how anyone can doubt that. He's been putting up 20 and 10 the entire decade while leading his team to 3 titles as the #1 option and anchoring some of the best defensive teams in league history, all while making the playoffs every year, 50+ wins every year, and serious contention every single year.

Only Tim Duncan has kept his team afloat and great for 10 years. Kobe and Shaq haven't. Factor in back to back regular season MVPs and 2 Finals MVPs (should be 3, Tim's name is on Tony's award), it's not even close. The man flirted with a quad-double in the closing game of the Finals. He's the Player of the Decade, no doubt.

Last year was interesting though, Spurs were .500 without Manu but had around a .650 record with him

Shaq was the most dominant, but Duncan was the most consistent. I'll take Shaq because he was the most dominant player I've ever watched.
