I still think he would thrive if he was given a bigger role in the offense side...

he is playing with ball dominant me-first players....Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, Josh Smith etc... only 1 ball but 3+ people to feed consistently... he is like 5th scorer.

It is kinda scary how unnoticed he has become, but yeah... he is a bust. He was supposed to be everything that Tim Thomas was suppose to be. People forget how hyped up he( Thomas) was back in the day, but given that he( Williams) landed in Atlanta, it seems liked he was pegged to be a role player and no one really thought too much if it.

It's such a shame that Smith and Horford were forced to spend some of the best years in their career playing out of position so that this guy could be in the starting line-up.

Paul or Deron
Johnson
Smith
Horford
Howard-stoppers

Would have been a killer line-up

Yeah but most likely Al Horford would've never been a Hawk had CP3 or D-Will got drafted by the Hawks.

I'd gladly take Tim Thomas type play from Marvin. Anything would be nice, really. Hell, I'd even take Gomes type play at this point.

A) Dead Horse

B) Chris Paul = NO AL HORFORD and maybe no Joe Johnson since we sold Joe Johson originally on idea that he could play PG

C) Teague may finally be our answer at PG.

If Teauge becomes a top 10 PG in this league we are actually better off that we passed on Paul.

Top 10 PG
Joe Johnson
Marvin Williams
Josh Smith
Al Horford

That's a better combo than anything we could have had with just Paul, Joe and Josh.

:nonono:

Marvin Williams should never start, he is not a threat to score and allows the best perimeter defender to check Joe.

I doubt Teague will ever be able to overcome Marvin's liabilities on BOTH offense and defense.

Top 10 PG
Joe Johnson
Josh Smith
Al Horford
(2 way center or power forward)
Sad but yes Jason Collins/Zaza Pachulia>>> Marvin Williams
