Come on guys.. its Gerald Green and James White. They could do a dunk off in the alley and that'd kick the NBA dunk contest off the air.

Russia is back, baby!

Doesn't count when your top 2 performers are American players.

Igor Tkachenko finished second. He's not American. Actually, 3 of the 5 contestants are European.

He may have finished 2nd, but the best 2 dunkers were Green and White. Without them, the contest is good, but not great.

Pops, Green, White have another thing in common: they've all played for the Rockets and got booted.

sorry, Rockets is the most boring organization.

BTW, lol at people thinking the NBA dunkers have nothing on these guys. Maybe White, but Green has been a part of 2 of the so called horrible NBA Slam Dunk Contests.

The fact is, we just had one of the worst dunk contests of all time and they have one of the best dunkers to ever lieve. Of course it is going to make ours look like poo poo. Take out White, and the contest is comparable to the NBAs. Especially since many of those dunks are repeats from previous dunks in the NBA (mostly Vince's).

You guys seem to forget about the great performances by Dwight, Iggy, Mason, J-Rich, Vince. I am not trying to take anything from the Russian league. They took a nasty dump on the NBAs dunk contest, but let's not act like we are not capable of putting on a show here every now and then.

I haven't cared for the dunk contest in awhile Vince's amazing performance awhile back was the exception. I just feel outside of the few rare guys most players are doing dunks we have seen a ton of times. Which isn't really there fault there are only some many dunks out there that can be done.

The NBA's biggest problem is they keep trying to ignore the problem that the dunk contest isn't that relevant anymore. They keep trying to come up with a gimmick to drawl people in (dunk in, vote a player in, ect.) and those are stupid ideas that fail.

If the NBA is going to keep the dunk contest around they either need a way to make the marquee guys participate. Or bring in the guys that are the elite dunkers (reguardless if they are scrubs).

dam that first honky could shoot. but im guessing 3 point lines closer than nba's?

Yep. NBA 3 point line is 7.25 meters and in Europe its 6.25 meters. (1 Meter = 1 Yard + 4 Inches)

I don't know why NBA players can't shoot like that in the 3pt comp... I mean sure this is a little 'easier' and there's more time, but it's also probably the pressure and the lights and all that I suppose.

then again, if the Euros can, why can't the NBA players do it? they've obviously got the raw skills so to speak.
