In all fairness to Bargs, although his %'s are bad this season he is NOT a chucker.

Does anyone know if Roy is required to play in this game, even if he makes the all-star game?

if i'm not mistaken
rookie only won it once
even a rookie team feature LeBron, Melo, Wade can't win either
maybe next year with Oden, Rose, Beasley, Mayo
definitely will be better than this year rookie

Sophomores and it won't even be that close IMO. Roy, Gay and LMA are way better than anyone the freshman team have-- maybe Durant will go off but I doubt it. Roy will probably be on the All-Star team.

Only way the rookies win is to pound the ball inside to Horford and Scola and play anti-All Star weekend ball

If Roy gets selected to play in the varsity game I think the Frosh have a small chance. Even then that one year of experience is huge.

I'm still picking the Sophomores.

Pretty sure he won't be allowed to participate in the real all star game if he skips this one.

One year LeBron had back to back games the last 2 days before the rookie game, and had to play a 3rd straight night and then the real all star game 2 nights later.

Good selection on Conley, even though he hasn't played many games, when he's played he's played well. Plus you need the pure point in there to make plays and throw some oops for show time.

You better believe Conley will find Durant and Moon for some sky high jams.

That being said, Sophomores in a rout.

Nope, never...

The sophs are going to kill the rooks, but I'll be supporting the underdogs....hope JaMario throws down a big dunk during the game as a statement for the upcoming dunk contest

I love Craig Smith's game, but he's a role player...the game exists primarily for the announcers to swoon and play the "wow, the NBA is in great shape with this plethora of prodigal players" (okay, only if Clyde Frazier was doing colour).

Moon and Gay in an exhibition game should be fun to watch, though.

Also, Bargs markets to Canada and Europe much better than Smith or Boone. The NBA might just be going for more internaitonal exposure.

I think most agree that he's not among the top 8 sophs this year.
Now it's all about the off-season for my Knicks. (and rooting for Boston to crush Indiana).

Rooks have won twice. They won because they beat some freaking awful draft classes lol

I thought a year ago that this class could have had a shot. But with no Oden, and with Roy and Aldridge surprisingly playing this well, the rookies will get steam rolled as usual.

I mean Brandon Roy is an all-star for crying out loud. This game won't be fair at all.

Maybe if Roy and Aldridge sat out.

But that's what the Rookie-Sophmore game is all about. Showing the progression of young players in league
