Shane Battier = premier defensive player
Derek Fisher = worst defensive PG

Re: LAST POST
Sorry care lil if your a LA fan means lil towards knowledge
Shane is a great defensive forward but isn't going to amaze you by picking pockets but consistently under your jersey and thats what you get from Fisher
actually LMAO worst defensive pg yet continues to get to start for an championship contender and switches on sg's like Ray "run around all night" Allen

Re: LAST POST
Who knows Fisher's game better than the people who watch him every night? He starts for the Lakers because we're so far over the cap and have no other options. Fisher's had a marvelous career, and I have a ton of respect for him. But Fisher isn't even remotely comparable to someone like Battier as a defensive player. I mean, did you see what Chris Paul did to him in Game 1? That's the single biggest mismatch in the playoffs.

Maybe you don't remeber me but I'm a HUGE Kobe fan
so I watch ALL his games by coincidence watch a whole lot of Fish
Now I don't know about you but I just don't listen to people because they are fans of team, fans be stupid too
Regarding CP3, you never seen a great player go OFF on a great defensive player? Hmmm
So Fisher isn't consistently under his oppostion jersey?
Think Phil just puts him out their casue (something sarcastic)?
Of course not ur defending your fellow Laker and its commendable
Fish is out there to defend/hit open 3's sound pretty Battier like to me

No. He tries, bless him, but not even close.
kasino wrote:Think Phil just puts him out their casue (something sarcastic)?
I think Phil puts him out there because it's either him or Blake, and Blake is even worse.

In terms of role, yes. In terms of execution, not so much.
kasino wrote:Regarding CP3, you never seen a great player go OFF on a great defensive player?
There's a difference between going off, and putting up arguably the best road performance by a PG in NBA history.

idk how to seperate like that so bare with me....
So if he doesn't who does?
really? Had chances to trade for a upgrade but stuck with it, think your wrong there but ok
So he doesn't defend and shot 3's
Is it really? I think going off is going off. Not to mention this Fish 15th season going against perhaps the best pg in the league.

Blake was supposed to take over but apparently was a worse option than Fish.

You have to be the worst evaluator of defense in the history of team sports.

Re: LAST POST
You should just let this thread die. Chris Paul just had another historic performance, putting up a triple double with numbers that only Oscar Robertson ever reached. So that's two historically great showings in four games, with Fish playing a pretty good chunk of the matchup.

Nope because a great player having a great performance isn't nothing to be ashamed of if your Fish because 09 Kobe was pretty much going 30//5/5 on Shane Battier
