The Lebron Thread (2013-14 Pt. 3)

Post#1 » by rrravenred » Wed Mar 26, 2014 4:07 am

... and having gone through The Fellowship of the (Back-To-Back) Rings and (Desperately wish we had) Two Towers we come finally to The Return Of The King (to the ECF, at least)

Have at it...

Is it a glitch or is the new system designed in a way that you can't see the page numbers on the bigger threads? For example, you couldn't see the page numbers for the previous LeBron thread and other big threads around RealGM.

I think that once it goes past 100... bad stuff happens.

I see, but that only happened recently. Before last night all the bigger threads around the forum had their page numbers intact. Anyway, I hope it was a glitch and not a design change. I like the ability to select a certain page if need be.

But isn't the last thread at 76 pages? I think posts per page has increased from 15 to 20. Or is this is just me? I thought there was a site update.

Dude, it's **** me up man. If I see 38 posts in a thread, I automatically think to go to page 3. Now what do I do?

Oh, before I forget and derail the thread...LeBron James!!!

Apparently Allen has the flu and is unlikely to play, and Wade's questionable. Combine that with Indiana being at home, and I'm calling this one a loss.

Yeah, he hasn't posted since like October. He was a very insightful poster. Hope he's back for the playoffs.

I agree with you guys on Mopper, hope all is well with him

As for tonight, i really have no feel for this game either way. Neither team has been playing well, but it intuitively feels like the winner tonight can use this game as a springboard out of the darkness with momentum rolling downhill. Whoever takes this one will be feeling damn good about themselves at around 11pm tonight and the recent struggles will be a distant memory, and with good reason. Its basically a 4 game swing in the standings. Whoever wins tonight is likely essentially gaining two games, the one you get in the standings and the one you get by possessing the tiebreaker. If Indiana wins tonight, they will all but clinch the tiebreaker because of the conference record. If Miami wins, they hold a 2-1 lead with the final game at home. The Heat are going to have to win this season series if they want the tiebreaker, they are highly unlikely to finish with a better conference record than Indiana

I can't recall when I've seen Miami play this badly in the last couple of seasons. They literary suck both offensively and defensively and play with no energy, effort. If LeBron/Wade don't create anything out of the post or penetration they basically can't score to save their lives. What's even worse is they don't have much time to get their act together... if they continue playing like this they'll get trashed in the 2nd round of the playoffs,

I've said this like a thousand times, but Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole are incapable of making reads on offense and passing creatively. They keep running stupid plays with LeBron as the screener for those two and they're literally always wasted plays. If you're gonna use LeBron as a screener, use Wade as the ball handler! He can pass!

Yep. I think their role should be limited only to spot up shooting and providing energy on defense. Look at Derek Fisher - he always knew his limitations, and never really tried to be a playmaker - the thing is, Phil Jackson also realized that's the case, and didn't force him to do anything else, while is seems that Spo is just making coaching mistakes, giving Chalmers and Cole the opportunity to make plays (which result in turnovers, when they try to be creative).

Fantastic second quarter. The full package. Attacking playmaking defending. It's why he's the best when he wants to be.

I am loving his attitude tonight. And getting Durant treatment helps.

And that pass to Bosh (he totally wanted to do it...)

LeBron needs to play at this level and higher for Miami to even reach the Finals. Haven't had less trust in the role players since 2011.

That was one of the great thing about cleveland perhaps their players weren't as good but they always found lebron when he wanted it

way too much disregarding of lebron by cole/chalmers a lbj/cole or lbj/rio pick and roll is just lebron picking and cole or chalmers charging like buffoons into a shot 06 kobe wouldnt take. Sometimes ray allen does it too,

You never saw smush parker look off kobe or ron harper look off mj
