2000-01 to 2010-11. He had a very long prime, just like Kobe.

Pierce was a better athlete than people remember during the earlier 2000s, but he's as good of an example as any of someone who didn't rely on athleticism so his game really didn't change much at all. I'd think something like from '01 or '02 until '08 or '09, but the more I think about it, 2011 might actually be more accurate as his last prime year because it honestly wasn't until the lockout year that I can say I really noticed any decline as far as what he was able to do. He declined a bit athletically earlier on, but again, that really had no impact on his effectiveness. Surprisingly long prime either way.

I'd say longer actually. There were more differences in how Kobe played over a period of time than Pierce, and while Kobe was even more skilled than Pierce, athleticism was a bigger part of what made Kobe great than it was for Pierce.

Definitely wasn't in his prime in 2012, i would say 2001-2008. You could argue as high as 2009 but i don't see how he's in his prime after that i mean 2010 pierce only averaged 18 4 3, and only 34 minutes a game, not prime numbers at all.

Agreed.Pierce was not in his prime in 2010.I say his prime years was from 2000-2001 to 2007-2008 or 2008-2009

I think he had about a 9 year prime. By 2010 he was already considered old, still a good player of course but not really what people think when they say prime Paul Pierce.
