Nash most likely won't play more than a few games

Both should've retired by now.
It's going to be ugly for them both this season, and it's a shame to see top 50 all time players like themselves go out like this. They have nothing left to prove.

Nash. Injured his back preseason carrying his bags. Missed 67 games last year with injuries (missed 32 the year before that). I think his body's had it, plain and simple. I doubt he plays more than half the season this year (and that in a very limited-minute capacity, like <22 mpg).
Just going by age, Nash is two years older than KG after all.
I think both will retire after this season.
EDIT: I don't agree with the notion that it's "sad" to see them go out this way. Such sentiment implies these late twilight years somehow tarnishes or takes away from what they've already done in their careers.

Well, I like to pretend that Jodran's washington years never existed.
If a player has declining skills but their ego refuses to let them take a reduced role, their diminished alpha dog presence can absolutely detract from the team. Look at Iverson in his later years.

I agree. Nash hasn't been the same since he left Phoenix whether going by production or injuries. He should've retired, but he stands to make about $10 mil this season. I'd hang around too for another season. Great career.

Nash.
At least KG can stand under the basket with his 7 foot frame.

KG isn't washed up, he was just used horribly last season.
He's still one of the best defensive big men in the game, and he's an elite midrange jump shooter...so he still has legit value for any team. He's just not a big minutes, big numbers guy that can create for himself anymore.
Nash's back looks like it's failed him at this point though.

Shaq is another who comes to mind.

Nash will be lucky to play 30 games. KG can play, just not very well

Yep. KG started the year horrible last year but his play in january and forward was really good. Kidd just mis-managed him badly from the jump.
